Andromeda campfire, Monday evening

Jaina hadn't really had the concept of summer that most people had. There hadn't ever been a break from school for her, and half the time she'd be on a different planet that wouldn't even have proper summer weather. But not having classes till later in the week certainly helped with the summer feel, so that was why Jaina was starting a campfire, and wondering if she should have gotten marshmallows or something first. Oops.

"Oh, sorry," John shook himself from his reverie. "I'm open to suggestions."

"Oh, so now you're making me do your thinking for you?" she teased.

"Only because you're smarter than me," he said, because he'd heard flattery got you everywhere. "Not to mention prettier and more talented and incredible in ways that shouldn't be discussed at a campfire."

"Buttering me up now, are you?" she smirked.

"Could always draw fish on his face while he sleeps," said Jaina, who apparently had a theme for this sort of thiing today.

"With a sharpie!" John liked that idea and leaned over to kiss her cheek in thanks. "He'd have it for days!"
