Second Floor Common Room [Tuesday Evening]

Ned hadn't been in the common room in awhile what with the cabins and the lack of oven out there. Rectifying the lack of baking was easy enough as sliding on his apron (still not pink) and heading down the hall to the nearest common room.

Now, he was in the midst of baking a pie or two.

It was almost relaxing, being able to do this again. And it didn't involve stick figures so he wouldn't end up making one side bigger than the other.

The tv was on for some background noise but Ned was baking, not watching.

"What is your name if you don't mind me asking?" Tosh was only trying to make conversation.

"It's, like, Hugo?" Hurley said. "But really only my mom calls me that. Oh, and my boss at Mr. Cluck's this summer."

"Mr. Cluck's?" Tosh repeated, tilting her head.

"Mr. Cluck's Chicken Shack?" Hurley said.

"I don't think we've got those in England," Tosh said.

"I thought you were Japanese?" Hurley said.

"My grandfather was born in Japan," Tosh explained. "But I was British born. Though I did live in Japan for a few years."

"Oh," Hurley said. "That'd explain, like, the accent, wouldn't it?"

"Yes, it would," Tosh chuckled. "Your accent sounds American. Where are you from?"

"California," Hurley says. "Santa Monica, if you know where that is."

"I have never been there, but I have heard of it," Tosh said.

"Cool," Hurley said. "It's, like, nice and stuff. I mean, I like it, you know?"

Tosh smiled. "Always a good thing to like where you're from."

"Yeah," Hurley said. "So... you like Britain?"
