Third Floor Common Room - Monday Morning - 10/13
Liir could not stay in his room this morning.
Liir... had to do something normal, something mundane, something hot and greasy and familiar, and that was why he was in the common room kitchen doing a massive fry up for anyone who thought it worth the effort to creep out of their room.
Anyone who started conversations with anything other than 'this weekend' also got a brownie.
[open and free food for all!][...and considering this weekend, his icon (and where it comes from) is FAR TOO AMUSING FOR WORDS right now]

Not that she had ever met Liir before in her life, but it seemed a reasonable enough request.

"A musket ball, but I'll keep it in mind. Hello," he said, as it seemed the thing to do, considering.
"Take as much as you'd like. I'm... probably going to be in the kitchen most of the day."
As the immortal Bobby Hobbes once said: "It comforts him."

It made things a little better.
"Seriously, I had a French accent. And I hated this guy I think is related to Master Skywalker, like, violently, for no reason." She shook her head. "I'm Claire, by the way. Not Claire Simone unless you're my mother and I just broke something."

"And I was a complete jackanaps."
He paused before explaining: "asshole. I treated someone like a maid, was positively lecherous..."
He shuddered.
"And I still have to apologize to Penelope over everything."

And, she was hungry. And lazy. Generally looking for Liir would net her some food, so that's what she was doing.
And that'd be a little sister tackle hugging him at some moment when he wasn't in danger of death by grease thanks to the surprise of it.

"Good morning to you," he said with a brief smile.
"Something for breakfast? I can do up something a little lighter if you're not in the mood for all this grease."

"It is rather nice out today, all things considered. How are you?"
Please don't mention this weekend.

But as soon as her eyes settled on Liir, she twirled around and ran. He must hate her and that was one conversation she didn't think she was strong enough to handle.

"I just... I wanted to apologize. For everything this weekend. I hope-- I--
"What I said, what I did...
"I'd hate--"
If he could get out a sentence, she would be far more likely to forgive him, some caustic portion of his mind reminded him.
"Would you... still like to have dinner with me? Is what I wanted to say."

He wondered how to breach the subject of Penelope.
"So... what's this I hear about you and Penelope?"
That worked as good as anything.

In any case, she remembered leading him out of the common room... and everything got a bit fuzzy from there.
