fandomhighdorms | Ground Floor, Rec Room [Thursday, Evening]

Angela took herself down to the rec room early for party preparations. She'd had an offer of willing help, but also recruited some girl with streaks of pink hair from across the hall to help her bring things down just in case. The other girl's protests that she was pretty sure she had no idea who this guy was fell on deaf ears.

By the time evening came, the common room was all decked out in a bunch of bright balloons, a couple of 'Happy Birthday Hannibal!' posters, and some artsy-looking homemade streamers. She may have mixed in some interesting Cosmo article titles with the normal paper when she was making them. Keep an eye out for those if you're into extra reading material.

The music is going, food is out, and near the door is a tub of ~~completely moddable~~ party hats. Birthday boy wanted hats, he was going to get hats. People who don't take one, run the risk of being pounced and having one forced on them (tactics may vary depending on how well she knows said people and her sugar intake).

"Is that supposed to be a threat? Really?" Angela asked with a laugh.

"...yes," he said, not sounding sure of that. "A total threat."

"You need to work on your threats," Angela told him with a snicker. "Birthday advice from me."

"So, that means, you'd take me kissing you...on the cheek," he remembered to add, "as something good?"

"It's definitely not 'do this or else' material," Angela told him with a laugh.

"Then, sometime, I am gonna kiss you," he decided.

"What, this is like a sneak attack I have to prepare myself for?" Angela asked.

"It could be coming now or in an hour or in a day," he said very mysteriously.

"Twenty four hour window?" Angela said, nodding mock solemnly. "I'll be ready."

"Anytime," he said and winked. "Any place."

Yeah the serious thing didn't last too long, and Angela laughed.

"So, you have any more birthday requests before the day runs out?"=

"Another hug would be nice," he decided.

"You're finally starting to get this 'just ask' idea down," Angela teased. "I'm so proud."

"I'll remember you prefer asking instead of ordering," he teased back. "I won't order you to cook for me or anything."

"You'll probably be glad of that later," Angela said, spreading her arms for that hug she was asked for. "I'm not really much of a chef."

"I'd eat whatever you made," he said and stepped forward for his hug.

Angela laughed again as she slipped her arms around him. "You might regret saying that one day," she said.

"No, I don't think I won't," he said quietly, still hugging her.

"I'll try and make that the case," Angela said loosening her grip on him after a moment. "But I can't make any promises."

"Such little confidence in yourself," he said.

"You must be one of very few people to believe I actually have a lack of confidence," Angela said.

"In the area of cooking," he clarified. "That's where you lack confidence."

"I can cook," she said. "And I haven't yet burned my Dad's house down. I think I should get points for that."

"Mmm, your dad," he said. "Is he making an appearance this weekend?"

"As far as I know?" Angela nodded. "So that'll be fun," she wryly.
