The Roof - Friday Evening

Chuck's little, ah, problem had cleared up yesterday but he didn't let himself out of his self-imposed imprisonment until Friday afternoon. He wouldn't put it past Peter to lull him into a false sense of security and then make it all come back while he was in public or something. He went to the roof after the cheerleading auction with a couple joints to get stoned out of his mind. He planned on staying high for most of the weekend, actually. Probably not the smartest thing to do since at some point he wanted to go get that camera from Dean but, whatever. This was fun.

Jess didn't come up to the roof to smoke often, but it was the weekend, the auction had been entertaining, and one cigarette while the weather was decent wasn't going to kill him. He noticed that he wasn't alone when he went to the ledge, but he was more concerned with patting down his pockets at the moment. He was going to kick his own ass if he'd come all the way up here without anything to smoke.

Jess looked around, expecting to see that he'd been followed, and realized that he was the one being addressed. "Stalking's not really my thing," he said, before adding, "This is a public space. I have the same right to be here as you do."

"I'm sorry you're so easily annoyed." He really wasn't, of course. "But that's not my fault, and it's not my problem. I'm perfectly happy to leave you alone."

"I'm not a douche," Jess said, glaring. "Like you'd know anyway. Who the hell do you think you are?"

[identity profile] noboynextdoor.livejournal.com 2009-03-27 09:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Jess smirked. "If I was supposed to be impressed by that, it didn't work."

"Now I'm a douche and I'm brain damaged?" Jess said. "For your next move, you might want to give me a reason why I shouldn't throw you off the roof."

Jess hadn't put anything together yet either, but then, most of the people who got him confused with Peter liked Peter better than him.

Priestly was still boggling a little over the whole cheerleading auction thing as he made his way up to the roof.

He nodded to Chuck. "Hey, man."

Priestly bit back a groan. "Dude, I have no idea. Just none. But, hey, lots of money for the school, huh?"
lovemykilt: (disbelief)

"Really?" Priestly gave Chuck a quick once over. "Not so much with seeing the resemblance."

"I kind of gathered." It wasn't like either Chuck or Eric pretended they weren't loaded. "Still." Priestly fished around in his pocket, finally pulling out a very inexpertly rolled joint and a tiny bic lighter. "Wow."

Priestly grinned. "Yep!" Then he noticed Chuck's expression. "What? It's only, like, the second time I've done it."
lovemykilt: (single brow)

". . . It can be too tight?" Priestly looked over the joint in his hand. "I figured it was just hard to get the paper to open enough on the end."

Ah, the roof. It was so versatile. If you emo, or pensive, or just wanted to enjoy the view, it was perfect. It was perfect for jamming too, which was Robin's original plan when he came up.

But when he saw more people up there, he felt uncertain. He didn't want to bother people with his practice. Not everyone appreciated banjo music afterall.

"Evening everybody."

Robin sighed to himself but said nothing. Like it or not, sometimes people were just unfriendly. He headed to the far side of the roof and and began to play softly.
