Firekeeper and Blind Seer wandered in to the common room at the usual time for Darkest Night, only to find... reruns. Bah.

Oh well. Just because she'd seen this episode before wasn't going to stop her from watching it again.

"You do. It'll be good," Dinah said, nodding hard. "He's a good trainer. Not exactly encouraging, but you won't pick up any bad habits, and he really will show you the best ways to do stuff. What'd Henry teach you?"

"Just a couple of things to do if I got cornered," Tony said. "Not much fight-the-invading-army stuff."

"Which, since we've got another year here, you could probably use," Dinah admitted. "If you want someone to spar with, I'm good for that." She paused. "And I won't hurt you the way I hurt Priestly, I swear. That was totally accidental."

"Maybe back home, too," Tony said. "I got my ass kicked a couple of times when the shadows invaded. What'd you do to Priestly?"

"Um, nothing more than bruised ribs. Maybe. It was a while ago, before Fight Club, I got too enthusiastic and overestimated how much experience he had," Dinah admitted. "And yeah, that's another good reason to do it!"

Tony winced. "Sparring'd be good, but you gotta take it easy on me. At least at first."

"I promise," Dinah said. "Really, I'm much better at that now. Really low-key." She grinned. "So, have you heard anything definite about Darkest Night?"

"Yeah, just heard today, actually," Tony said. "They're getting a second season. Starting up next week."

"Wooo! More cheesy vampires! More shirtless Lee Nicholas!" Dinah exulted, then tried to calm down. "I mean. That's cool. You must be happy. And... stuff."

Tony grinned. "Yeah, it's cool. I might even get a chance to work on the show again this summer."

"Oh, cool! Oh, wait." Dinah gave him the puppy eyes. "You'd leave? For how long?"

"I can't do it until I'm eighteen," Tony said. "So it'd just be for the second half of the summer. And that's if they even have a job for me. If they can find a PA who can work the whole season, I'm out."

Dinah debated, then firmly said, "Then I hope they don't find anyone. I know how badly you want to work on a show again." And then more mischievously, "Especially with actors you respect."

Dinah tried to keep a straight face. "Ooo, look. Trench scene. Ugly wounds." Shirtless Lee! Which went unsaid.
