James A. Garfield common area, Tuesday morning
Moving to the cabins had been entirely unexpected and somewhat distressing for Raven. She had been prepared to share her room with another, but so many people so close together was disconcerting, and it was hard to shut things out. Last night she'd felt an almost overwhelming surge of desire coming from one of the other cabins, but fortunately it abruptly stopped.
She didn't have any classes on Tuesday, and after her morning meditations, she ventured into the common room to see who else might be dwelling there.

"Oh, hey," she said. "I'm Joan. I don't think we've met."

Not that he had slept much in any case.
He had no classes today, and so found himself at loose ends for the moment.

But that was a tip for later. Now he was going to stumble into the common room, dressed only in his boxers, and head towards the fridge for either a beer or orange juice. He'd most likely find the orange juice first. Which was unfortunate.

Joan could get used to this.
"Hello," she said.

"Heel!" Dor shouted. "Stop!"
Nana did indeed stop with Dor running smack into her and then falling on his butt. Nana then gave Dor a slobbery lick before shaking the leash out of Dor's grasp and trotting off to sleep on Dor's cot.
"I hate Jeff," Dor said with a sigh.
