Sixth Floor | Monday | May 18

Bright and early, Fraser was back up on the sixth floor, already decked out in his snazzy hard hat. It fit his head much better than it fit his fellow supervisors.

"Good morning," he greeted those that had arrived. "As you can see, the wall is almost completely down and, luckily, there doesn't appear to be anything behind it but what the remnants of what once was the rest of the sixth floor. Before we push through, we're going to clean up the debris we've left behind when we took down the wall. There are wheelbarrows here to haul parts of the wall away. Please be careful as you do this. You're also welcome to take down the remaining parts of the wall to make our passage easier."

Fraser walked over to a long table and patted the hard hats and tool belts. "Please be safe. Wearing your equipment is mandatory. Once you're equipped, please get to work and find myself or Professor Dex if you need anything."

"I wouldn't worry. I have control," Jaina nodded. Also his room was just one floor down.

"You're control is great," he agreed. "Given you brought me a sandwich and pudding...I'll just say I'm good whenever, forever." Because that was different from before somehow.

"Imagine if I'd added Cheetos," Jaina said. "Does that mean you weren't before?"

"No, don't bring the Cheetos into it," he warned. "I would hate to have to change my pants before getting back to work."

It wasn't Jaina's fault she burst out laughing at that.

"Classy," she said anyway.

"Your fault," he said, raising his hands in surrender. "I am at your mercy."

"You don't want to be talking like this to me when you have to spend the afternoon working," she told him. "It'd be a very long afternoon."

"I don't? I mean, uh, no, it would be terribly wrong to talk to you like that." No clue, this one.

"Well, if you did get me all hot and bothered, we'd have to wait till you were done," she pointed out. Not that she minded waiting, but 'okay' wasn't really teasing now, was it?

"Just a floor away," she nodded, realizing that the fact that this had occurred to both of them meant they were just bad.

"Would it be wrong to suggest the fifth floor as a place for you to get some work done this afternoon?" And then stay for a while.

They were awful. He didn't care.

"Good," John smiled proudly at his plan for a proper sandwich thank you. "I'll remember to stop down there after."
