Third Floor Common Room - Saturday Morning
Claire was still in an excellent mood after her conversation with Jon last night. She decided to pass on the trip into the city and instead headed for the common room to make breakfast in an effort to meet some new people.
Anyone making their way past the room would be welcome to enjoy some pancakes with blueberry topping, strawberry topping and/or whipped cream. Because, yes, Claire was kind of a dork and went the red, white and blue route.
There was an appropriate holiday movie on the television.
[oooooopen common room!]

Once again, Liir was struck with the realization that he mattered to people. It was always disconcerting, no matter how aware he should have been of this fact.
"Well, um," he started, glancing away, "I'm... reasonably sure you shouldn't have to worry. I won't be going home for a few months at least. But it wasn't good news."

"No, I have regular meals, people who enjoy my company, and a warm bed here. I wouldn't give that up for more than a couple of days."

"I'm sure you'd do better than you think. I managed to make my way on foot from the Vinkus to the Emerald City once and I'd never done such a thing. You do what you have to."
