Third Floor Common Room - Saturday Morning

Claire was still in an excellent mood after her conversation with Jon last night. She decided to pass on the trip into the city and instead headed for the common room to make breakfast in an effort to meet some new people.

Anyone making their way past the room would be welcome to enjoy some pancakes with blueberry topping, strawberry topping and/or whipped cream. Because, yes, Claire was kind of a dork and went the red, white and blue route.

There was an appropriate holiday movie on the television.

"...you weren't fliring with me? It totally seemed like you were flirting with me but maybe not?"

"I don't know. I'm not really all that good with it," he admitted to her with a scratch behind one ear.

"I just talk to people and enjoy their company and say things. I think there's supposed to be more to it than that. Not that you're not worth flirting with, because you are; you're exceedingly pretty and more than that, very sweet, but I'm never really sure. It's a strange concept."

"Oh, that's okay. I thought you were doing a great job but we've just met so that's my first impression regarding your fliring technique. It thought it was super cute! And I totally agree. There are stages of flirting and aw, that so sweet of you to say about me. Thank you, Liir. But yes, flirting. There are stages of it, layers, from the friendly to the passionate. You were simply being friendly and I appreciate it." She took a breath. "I can't tell you about the later stages of flirting because I haven't experienced them yet."

He blinked.

"Really? You've never had a boyfriend?"

He couldn't imagine that.

She shook her head. "Not yet. I'm not picky if you're thinking that. I haven't found anyone who makes my heart feel all warm and squishy. It will happen one day when I least expect it. I'm totally not looking because that seems so wrong." She grinned at him. "When someone likes me I'll know it!"

He shook his head.

"I didn't think you were picky," he told her honestly.

"I think you're absolutely right. Nothing is special unless you feel that warmth inside. And it's worth waiting for."

She grinned at him with a bit of perkiness in her. It was too early for the full perky that was Elle, but she was super happy most of the time. "Are you speaking from experience, Liir? Because aw, that's super sweet."

"I am. I've been very lucky in that respect. At least, I think so. Sometimes people have to go away, but if you enjoy the time you have with them, it's worth it."

"What a happy way to be. I'm totally agreeing with you. Seeing someone go away is super sad but focusing on the good happy moments you've shared makes it worth it." She giggled at Bruiser and his droopy eyelids. "He's so loved and he knows it."
