Third Floor Common Room - Saturday Morning

Claire was still in an excellent mood after her conversation with Jon last night. She decided to pass on the trip into the city and instead headed for the common room to make breakfast in an effort to meet some new people.

Anyone making their way past the room would be welcome to enjoy some pancakes with blueberry topping, strawberry topping and/or whipped cream. Because, yes, Claire was kind of a dork and went the red, white and blue route.

There was an appropriate holiday movie on the television.

"Yeah, my first day was like that," she said. "It gets less overwhelming."

"That's good. I don't think it would look good if everyone was wandering around all glazed-eyed and confused."

Claire smiled. "Definitely not. Though there are times when things happen that make you stand around confused. Like the mutant alligators."

"That doesn't sound much different than what we have back in Gaia."

"Really? Then you shouldn't have any trouble adjusting to life here."

"Nope, just like home. Except you don't get any prizes when you kill the things here."

"You get... prizes? When you kill things?"

"Oh, well, the monsters tend to be attracted to shiny things. I don't know why. But when you kill them, occasionally you find useful objects." Like, potions and money and things like that.
