With the move back to the dorms over, Alex had immediately headed out of his room (Griff needed to find his jacket soon or later) and down to the deck. It was true, he kind of really liked this place even if it was hot today. That just meant a t-shirt and shorts had to be worn instead of something heavier.

He took a seat, feet up on another seat and leaned back to catch some sun. Last day of the weekend was meant to be spent in the laziest way possible, right? Well, lazy if you couldn't be doing all those other fun active things. Maybe he'd do something like that later.

"And?" He didn't see anything wrong with showing off. It padded his ego. "If I can prove I'm right, I'm going to."

"So how smart are you when you want to be?" Rose asked levelly.

"Smart enough." Which meant he wasn't outright answering that question. "I'm not stupid."

"I think you just repeated yourself there," she said innocently.

"Some people need it repeated," he replied pleasantly.

"Some people are jackasses," she said, sweet as sugar.

"Some people like that," he said, grinning smugly.

"As long as they accept it," Rose said, nudging his foot with hers.

"Accepted it a long time ago," he said and nudged back. "Now, it's just a matter of upkeep."

"Why?" Rose asked innocently. "Are you getting roots? Do you need a new dye job?"

"How very literal of you," he said and rolled his eyes. "Not what I meant and I'm sure you're smart enough to know that."

"I've heard hair dyeing is a twenty-four hour job serious business," Rose teased. "I didn't want to take it lightly."

"I don't dye my hair but your concern is noted," he said and shook his head. "Maybe someday you'll get some better insults to toss at me."

"Why waste the good ones?" Rose asked.

"Maybe those are your good insults," he said and smirked. "Guess the etiquette class won't teach you those."

Rose considered that for a moment. "Have you ever met Professor Deadpool? If I needed new material - and I don't - I bet he'd totally come through with insults."

"Can't say I have." He'd never had the honor. "Guy from the radio, though, right?"

"I guess so," she said. Someone needed to start listening to radio. "He's freaking insane."

"He's probably in good company in this place," Alex said. "Not like he's the only one."

Rose shrugged then jumped up as she glanced at her watch. "I need to head down for Fight Club. I'll talk to you later."

"Have fun," he said and gave her a brief wave as she left.
