Third Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening

For the second night in a row, Bobby had set up a common room with his Go-Between Guy DVDs. This time, however, he'd also ordered a bunch of Chinese food- enough to share if anyone came by. He might not be able to cook, but at least he could feed people this way. It was only fair considering the number of times he'd had others' cooking.

Jennifer waved. "Hey," she said.

"Hi, Jennifer," Peyton said with a smile. "How are you?"

"Good," she said. "Thankfully escaped all of whatever happened to everyone last week."

"Yeah, me too," Peyton said gratefully. "Just, you know, worried about everyone else."

"Yeah," Jennifer said. "Sounds like it wasn't much fun for them."

Peyton shook her head. "Not at all. Scary, really."

Jennifer nodded. "Not sure how we help people, though."

"I don't know," Peyton said quietly. "Just kind of... treat them normally, I guess, and be there if they need to talk or be distracted or whatever."

"Good idea," Jennifer said. "You've probably already dealt with this sort of thing, huh? Having been here longer?"

"Nothing like this," she admitted, "but yeah, weird stuff like this happens a lot."

"I've seen some of it," Jen said. "I've... been some of it."

"Really?" Peyton said curiously. "Like gremlin bit or something?"

"I grow big and green when I get angry, now," Jennifer said.

"You... oh," Peyton said,a bit at a loss for words. "I'm sorry. That must be... very hard."

"It's actually kind of... fun," Jennifer admitted.

"Really? Well, then, good," Peyton said,looking a little surprised. "Hey, if you're cool with it, why not?"

"The only problem is my clothes get all shredded," Jennifer said, laughing.

"That could make things awkward," Peyton agreed with a smile. "You need to have clothes stashes hidden around the island just in case!"

"Yeah. Luckily I seem to at least stay somewhat covered," Jennifer said.

"The important parts, I hope," Peyton said with a grin.

Jennifer laughed. "Some day, a boy is going to make me mad and get more than he bargained for."

"Or he's going to try and make you mad precisely for that reason. These are guys we're talking about," Peyton pointed out.
