First Floor Lobby: Friday Morning

To those transformed "girls" waking up this morning, Layla had arranged a special gift for them. In the first floor lobby (as well as in the common rooms) an arrangement of women's underwear and sports bras in various colors and sizes were laid out on display.

Along with a sign indicating that they were free to take for any male students who were temporarily transformed.

As for Layla herself she was sitting on one of the couches in the lobby to watch the parade of girls leaving the dorms as she perused her new copy of Tiger Beat.

"Yeah, because that's so important to you," Layla said rolling her eyes.

"Don't be ridiculous, of course it is," Emma laughed. "You can't break all the rules if you don't know the game. What fun is that?"

"Still, I didn't say I was going to go up and ask them. That's boring, and I'm rather sure that grunt work like that is for interns of some sort. I think I want an intern."

Layla shook her head in amusement. If only Ruby were here to see her mom in action. The reaction would be priceless. "I can verify their identity without asking," she replied as she started to fill out the quiz. "Will that get me the job?"

"Congratulations, Miller. You're my newest minion."

Somewhere, in some timeline, Scott Summers was having a heart-attack.

And in that same timeline Madrox was probably whimpering and hiding under some piece of furniture.

Layla smirked. "I suppose you'd like some coffee then?" she asked.

"Shade-grown Guatemalan with two creams, one sugar," she replied merrily, hopping up on her chair to get a better view of all their new classmates. "How ever did you guess?"

"Oh," Layla said as she got up to walk to the door. "I know stuff."

And just at that moment a delivery person from J'GOB appeared. Layla took the coffee and the bag of pastries and paid him off.

She then returned handing Emma's coffee over to her as she started to dig into the pastry bag. "Anything you want to eat?"

And yes. The coffee was exactly what Emma ordered.

"You enjoy being one of the creepy little Children of the Corn, don't you?" Emma sighed, taking the coffee and peering over Layla's shoulder into the bag. "I suppose that makes you the perfect minion."

"And the one with chocolate frosting and coconut is mine, thank you."

"Why do you think I ordered it?" Layla said handing said pastry over. "And I'm not any child of the corn. I just know stuff."

"'Know stuff', you know, you sound like a broken record," Emma replied bluntly. "The devil's in the details, darling. What are you, some sort of fortune teller?"

"No. I'm a mutant," Layla said ignoring the bluntness pulling out a jelly doughnut from the J'GOB bag. "From a dimension like yours. A little further along in the timeline though."

Emma eyed Layla warily. "So that's why you keep acting like you actually know me?"

"Not an act," Layla said taking a sip of her own cup of coffee. "I do know a version of you. Just one that didn't come to Fandom."
