Third Floor Common Room - LUAU

Joan and Kate had worked all afternoon to transform the common room into a tropical paradise.

Inside the door, a small table held flower leis for all of the party-goers. There were garlands hanging around the room, tabletop torches on most of the flat surfaces, and paper lanterns adding festive mood lighting.

Hawaiian music played in the background if anyone felt the urge to hula.

"I did let you tell the story," Leto pointed out. "But if I've offended you, just tell me how you want to be compensated."

The amusement in his voice probably gave him away too.

"Hm," Leto said. "I guess some people might say I run the risk of failing at the last one. I don't know about your taste in clothes, but I have certainly no intention of growing a mustache."

"I can be pretty lenient about the clothes thing, when there's special circumstances," Kate smirked. "But I can get somewhat allergic to smugness. But you do get points for not planning on a mustache."

"Oh, I don't think you can beat my roommate when it comes to bitchiness," Leto replied, shooting a glance at Arthur across the room. Then he smiled at Kate. "But I'm glad that aside from smugness and bitchiness, our feelings are mutual."

"You'd be surprised about the levels of bitchiness I can produce, but I don't think I want to go into a competition with Arthur to see who's the best. Or maybe the worst," she chuckled, before smiling at him.

"So, now that we've established that we think of each other as pleasant to be around, maybe we should talk about movie time?"
