Fifth Floor Common Room [evening]

Sookie was sort of surprised by the very sticky rain, and that in and of itself was a mark of how long she'd been there.

And after a day spent indoors reading, she decided to do something smart about the rain. And so she wandered out to her common room, found it empty, and took to carefully positioning some buckets to hang out the windows.

Sookie, meanwhile, set to work mixing up some pancake batter. And, of course, frying up some bacon and eggs. It wasn't really breakfast-for-supper unless you had all the components.

Sookie had to think for a long moment. "What's the L stand for?"

"...Louis," he admitted with a sigh.

"Honey, my name's Sookie. There's no shame in Louis," she assured him.

"It's just not me," he wrinkled his nose at her. "I'm not a Louis-y sort of person. And you're dodging the question!"

"I'm just reassuring you," she said sweetly. And still avoiding the question.

"Riiiight," he tapped the invisible pencil against the invisible paper. "We'd better continue before the, uh... validity of the test is compromised."

Sookie thought again. "Nope. You're always fun. Except that time when you told me 'bout the nasty ice cream."

"Oh, right," Bobby said, making a face just thinking about it. "But I'm allowed one mistake," he decided, making up the rules on the spot.

"Says who?" she challenged.

"Says the financial backer of this completely scientific survey," he retorted.

"And who might that be? I'd like to have a word with them," she declared.

"You'll have to make an appointment."

"Who would I see about that?" she asked curiously.

"I know a guy who knows a guy," Bobby told her. "I could put in a good word, in exchange for, oh, I don't know. Some pancakes?"

"You ask so much of me," she sighed heavily, gesturing to the pancakes. "Fine."

Bobby loaded up a plate and grinned before toasting her with a fork. "Consider the good word put in, madam."
