Fifth Floor Common Room [evening]

Sookie was sort of surprised by the very sticky rain, and that in and of itself was a mark of how long she'd been there.

And after a day spent indoors reading, she decided to do something smart about the rain. And so she wandered out to her common room, found it empty, and took to carefully positioning some buckets to hang out the windows.

Sookie, meanwhile, set to work mixing up some pancake batter. And, of course, frying up some bacon and eggs. It wasn't really breakfast-for-supper unless you had all the components.

"I could tell," Bobby nodded. "You tried to hide it, but I'm just that good at reading people."

Rose cracked up. "Oh yeah? What else have you gotten from me then?"

"Hmmmm," he tapped his chin thoughtfully. "You totally moonlight as a writer of those grocery-store romance novels with the barely-clothed people on the covers." Like he knew they actually had a name.

"How'd you know?" she asked, pretending to look surprised. "Mine totally have the hottest sex scenes."

"You overuse the phrase 'shining orbs'," he said. "Total giveaway."

"Oh, see, I thought it was my overuse of throbbing member that was the problem," Rose said thoughtfully.

She might have been trying to see if she could get him to blush.

"Throbbing member?" Bobby repeated. "What does that me- OH!" Annnnd yeah there was the blushing.

And Rose was cracking up. "So you liked the books?"

"They're my secret shame."

"Awww, Bobby," Rose leaned over to ruffle his hair. "I'm so glad you admitted that."

"Hey, hey!" Bobby yelped. "Not the hair!"

"Why not?" she teased. "It's so fluffy and mess-up-able."

Bobby wrinkled his nose at her. "Because it takes time to make it look that good!" if by 'time' one meant 'two minutes'. Bobby was not a believer in things like styling or product.
