Fifth Floor Common Room [evening]

Sookie was sort of surprised by the very sticky rain, and that in and of itself was a mark of how long she'd been there.

And after a day spent indoors reading, she decided to do something smart about the rain. And so she wandered out to her common room, found it empty, and took to carefully positioning some buckets to hang out the windows.

Sookie, meanwhile, set to work mixing up some pancake batter. And, of course, frying up some bacon and eggs. It wasn't really breakfast-for-supper unless you had all the components.

"Maybe, maybe not," he shrugged, checking her out. "I'd have to have a taste tester to know for sure."

"Sure but if you're covered in syrup during the taste test, you still couldn't be sure," she pointed out, totally fine with the being checked out.

"I reckon one would have to jest keep lickin' till there weren't no more syrup left. Jest me." God damn she was hot.

"Only if you were really lucky," Rose replied, eyes mischievous. "Or maybe she'd just leave you half-licked."

"Half-licked might be jest as good dependin' on where she started," he said, feeling a bit anxious in the best way ever. "My guess is she wouldn't wanna quit."

"Because you taste just that good?" she asked innocently.

"You wanna find out?" he asked, his grin a bit lopsided.

Rose chuckled because, yeah, that was direct. He was hot like Jesse Zeklos hot too.

"Pretty sure you taste like syrup," Rose teased. "It's too sweet for me."
