Fifth Floor Common Room [evening]

Sookie was sort of surprised by the very sticky rain, and that in and of itself was a mark of how long she'd been there.

And after a day spent indoors reading, she decided to do something smart about the rain. And so she wandered out to her common room, found it empty, and took to carefully positioning some buckets to hang out the windows.

Sookie, meanwhile, set to work mixing up some pancake batter. And, of course, frying up some bacon and eggs. It wasn't really breakfast-for-supper unless you had all the components.

"How sweet," she said, amused by the vibes she was getting from him. Seriously? He was totally hot, but-- "I bet you say that to every pretty girl."

"Nah, I don't," he confirmed with a small shake of his head. "Jest you." He might of said it before to someone else, but not here yet so he wasn't lying.

...that was possibly an interesting division of the truth. She was so going to have to remember that one.

"Then maybe I actually am flattered," Ino decided easily. "Compliments have a funny way of getting that result."

"Ain't nothin' funny 'bout it, darlin'," he drawled, slouching his stance some in a sexy, laid back manner. "I mean what I says. Always."

Personality-wise he wasn't much her type but sexiness definitely made up for that at the moment.

"You're a rare breed," she said, casting him a frankly admiring gaze. "That sort of truth can be hard to find these days."
