Fifth Floor Common Room [evening]

Sookie was sort of surprised by the very sticky rain, and that in and of itself was a mark of how long she'd been there.

And after a day spent indoors reading, she decided to do something smart about the rain. And so she wandered out to her common room, found it empty, and took to carefully positioning some buckets to hang out the windows.

Sookie, meanwhile, set to work mixing up some pancake batter. And, of course, frying up some bacon and eggs. It wasn't really breakfast-for-supper unless you had all the components.

"Alright," she said, tossing her head. "How 'bout I judge on the fact that it'd be a health hazard and then the clinic would have to get involved and that means I'd have to deal with stinky moldy pancakes and that's seriously revolting."

Eeeew.

"Oh, sure, go ahead and destroy my dreams why don't you," he pouted exaggeratedly at her.

[intraspective]

"That's what I do best," she teased, laughing. "Destroyer of dreams, stealer of cake."

[longislandiceme]

Bobby narrowed his eyes at her. "Note to self: Keep all cake within arm's reach whenever Ino's around."

[intraspective]

"You'd never keep it safe from me," she said loftily. "And I'd try asking first."

Most times. Honest!

[longislandiceme]

"Well, at least you're a polite cake-thief," Bobby said. "That's something. I don't know what, but something."

[intraspective]

"I am a special snowflake." Ino rolled her eyes at herself. "Take that as you will, I guess."

[longislandiceme]

Which just caused Bobby to let out a totally dignified snort of laughter around a mouthful of pancakes. "Snowflake, huh?" Someone may have just earned themselves a nickname.

[intraspective]

"Totally a snowflake," she said, making a face at him. Nicknames were totally awesome, really. "A rare and totally unique being, didn't you know that?"

[longislandiceme]

"I dunno," Bobby said, tapping his chin. "For a moment there I was worried you might be one of those people who's all about conforming to the status quo. I'm glad to have been proven wrong, Snowflake."

[intraspective]

Ino stuck her tongue out at him. So mature, really.

"I would never conform to this world," she said, laughing, even though she was totally one of the people happy with the status quo back home. "So much of it makes no sense to me!"

[longislandiceme]

"Parts of it make no sense to me and I'm from here," Bobby pointed out. He... may also have been guilty of a bit of status-quo-conformity himself, see also: hidden identity as a mutant.

[intraspective]

"There's no excuse for that," she teased, wiggling a finger at him. "Clearly you ought to have perfect understanding of everything ever."

[longislandiceme]

"I'm pretty awesome," Bobby said offhandedly. "But there's still a few things that elude me. Like those reality TV shows about models."
