The Roof: Saturday Evening

Happy-shiny-upbeat music was rolling off the roof this morning and down through the dorms. Layla had taken the time to string up some old Christmas lights that she had handwavily found at Things Reborn.

Food and drink Moddable of course was spread out on a table.

And of course the entire roof was already decorated in flowers, glitter and streamers.

Layla was already out in the middle of the roof bouncing around to the music and having a grand old time of it.

Clearly the island felt there was need for a party. Layla was just rolling around with it.

[Open to all of course. No OCD. Let the world end dammit.]

Layla grinned. "That and you have a... profound effect on one of my friends where I came from," she added. "So I still have a vested interest in you now."

"So long you're not expecting me to be some morally upright role model, you can be as interested as you like," Emma replied, reaching in her purse for her small flask. She wasn't going to spike the non-alcoholic drinks, that would be mean. She was just going to spike her own drink.

"You can't be any worse than those scary little rodents, anyway."

"Emma? I just want you to be exactly who you are," Layla replied. "No matter who or what gets in your way."

Emma raised her flask in a salute. "No worries on that, darling," she replied merrily. "I always am."

"Good," Layla grinned. "I'd hate to have to stop you from getting soft or anything."
