Fifth Floor Common Room [evening]

Sookie had spent part of the evening on the phone with her Gran and with Tara, trying to get either of them to come visit for Parents' Weekend. The result -- aside from promises that both of them would try to make it -- was a craving for something from home.

Which was brought her out to the common room to bake a pie. This served dual purposes:

a) It smelled great and would likely provide her with company as a result, and

b) Now she had something to eat while watching Yell, which was apparently from her time but she'd still never seen. So pie seemed like a good accompaniment to being curled up on the couch and staring wide-eyed at the screen. (It was scary, okay.)

"You have to know I'm dyin' to find out what it was," Sookie noted. "But it sounds like door-hiding was the way to go."

"It's embarrassing. And stupid. And I was stupid for believing it," Bobby sulked.

"I'm sure you weren't," she said, reaching over to pat his arm, because awww sulky. "I'm sure it was something totally believable! Rose is a really good liar. She told me something embarrassing about me, too, when I met her!" Which Sookie had started, but that was not important here.

Bobby gave her a grateful smile at the reassurance, even though he was still pretty convinced he'd been kinda dumb and gullible. "I think that might be her superpower," he said with a sigh.

"Maybe," Sookie agreed. "She almost had me convinced of something I actually made up! She's that good."
