Fifth Floor Common Room, Monday Night

Elena was curled up on the couch in the fifth-floor common room, channel-surfing and looking for something interesting to watch.

She had flipped past Golden Oldies twice before actually leaving the channel on long enough to realize the women were all bitching each other out, having blunt discussions of their sex lives, and then eating cheesecake.

Wow. If she lived long enough to be a cranky retiree, she totally wanted that life.

(OPEN CR IS OPEN!)

Sometimes, a rich kid like Tybalt just needed socialization. Really.

... Or, maybe, he'd just happened to hear talk of sex from all the way down the hall on his way up to the roof to have himself a cigar, and he had to swing by to investigate. Take your pick.

"Catty," he mused as he leaned over the back of the couch to get a better look at the television. "I think I might approve."

"They've years of experience on the rest of us," Tybalt noted, "I daresay I find it a shock that more people fail to suspect them at all."

And, hey, the older they got, the more desperate they probably were for it, right?

"...dude, this show?" Hurley said, popping into the common room.

"...now I want cheesecake.

[identity profile] likes-chicken.livejournal.com 2009-10-06 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
"Lemme check," Hurley said. "We're usually pretty well stocked. There must be, like... fridge fairies or something. Like those elves that make cookies in trees."

She'd already visited Caritas tonight and Rose probably should have just gone to bed, but of all the things that happened this weekend, she so needed to talk to Elena.

The tv distracted her though as she made her way into the Common Room. "Oh man, I want cheesecake."

[identity profile] guardianborn.livejournal.com 2009-10-06 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
Rose snickered. "Lissa and I used to argue over who'd be which New York chick. I always made her be Carrie." She flopped down onto a couch. "Definitely the cheesecake. And the scary pastels."

"We have ice cream, but no cheesecake," Hurley said. "You want some? We got cookies and cream or bubblegum."

[identity profile] guardianborn.livejournal.com 2009-10-06 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
"Is the bubblegum an unnatural shade of pink?" Rose checked.

Zayne was in a pretty good mood after a visit from his father and a good training session in Fencing club. After all of that, what he needed was a trip to a common room.

"I've seen this show before," Zayne said when he caught what was on. "Is it weird if I find it kind of funny?"

[identity profile] cataclysmicluck.livejournal.com 2009-10-06 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
"What flavor?" Zayne asked. "And was there any reason to expect cheesecake in the fridge? Or was it wishful thinking?"

[identity profile] guardianborn.livejournal.com 2009-10-06 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
"Nope, it means you have a sense of humour," Rose said.

"A good sense of humor, I hope," Zayne said.

Layla wandered into the lounge carrying three pizzas.

"I'm assuming you all know this is for sharing, right?"

[identity profile] iknowstuff.livejournal.com 2009-10-06 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
"Beats watching old ladies having sex," Layla said putting the pizza down and opening a box to grab a slice. "Or old men for that matter."

"Either that or you were trying to get really sick to get out of class tomorrow," Rose said. "Which - why bother? Just skip."

Cordelia wandered into the only common room that had people and a television already on, and made herself comfortable in the corner of the couch. She looked less that stellar, still in sweats and her hair pulled back with no makeup, but she didn't care.

"These old ladies are smart. Men are very stupid."

[identity profile] iknowstuff.livejournal.com 2009-10-06 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
"Yes but they make up for it in other ways," Layla said pushing a box of Pizza in Cordy's direction. "Not many. Just enough to keep them around."
