Jaime had a huge bowl of fresh popcorn dripping with butter and drenched in s salt. He was sitting near the edge of the roof, just looking out. "Man," he shook his head, looking over at his companion, "this may be the weirdest thing that's happened since I got here. And that's saying something."

He snorted. "Does this sort of thing happen often?"

"And do you think we have enough popcorn for any other unaffected people who might show up?"

"Professor Max?" Jaime prompted with a grin. Maybe he could get her to blush or something. That'd be fun.

Or flail! A lot! "I didn't see him, 'Dite said-- never mind, doesn't matter, and I wasn't there. Nope." Dinah shook her head vehemently. "Sooo, what's the weirdest thing you saw?"

"Oooho, trying to change the subject. Must have been something." He grinned roguishly. "Come on, you're gonna have to spill sooner or later."

Dinah gave him a deadpan look, then fished Raven's card out of her pocket. "Why don't you call Mistress Raven and ask her what her specialty is?" She was turning even more pink as she spoke. "I'm sure she'd like to make a pet out of you too!"

Jaime laughed. "Seriously?" He took the card... "Man... if I didn't know this would kill her, I'd so show her this when she gets back to normal..."

But while Jaime wasn't above a little teasing... Well, that was a bit much.

"Yeah, no," Dinah said, reaching for it again. "She really will be mortified. No matter how good she looked in the bustier. That whole scene is so not her."

Well. Mostly. Dinah had to wonder if some payback was involved for Max, because of the whole vampire world thing.

Jaime looked at the card, then sighed and let her take it. "Yeah. She's... I don't know if 'delicate' is the word, but... sensitive? Maybe it's better that I haven't seen her. So she won't pick that up from me later." The Scarab had an amazingly good idea of what her empathic abilities could do.

"Sensitive," Dinah had to agree. "Carefully balanced. I really hope nothing happens that'll be too much for her to deal with, but 'Dite's keeping an eye on her." She shook her head. "I've never been the sane one during these weekends. Tony was still a grown-up, and he didn't turn into anyone else that one weekend. And I know a couple people didn't have to sing. I'm kinda wondering what kind of crazy I'd be if I was effected. Or you!" She threw a handful of popcorn at him. "Amnesia? Or weird clothes?" Weird, sexy clothes... okay, erase that thought.

"Weird clothes... Like..." he was trying really hard not to imagine Dinah in sexy clothes. That would get awkward!

Extremely. "Superhero costumes," Dinah blurted, thinking that was safe. Then remembered her superhero costume from both Halloween and that one stupid class. "Except without capes," she added very quickly. "Because that way lies death."

Jaime laughed. "Capes are a pretty bad idea, yeah. Though..." Jaime thought about some of the costumes superheroines wore back home... "That might be as bad as a catsuit." Or, you know, actually be a catsuit.

How did they get into these conversations? Seriously?

Dinah grabbed more popcorn, deliberately not thinking about Nightwing's costume, and how it would look on any of the guys she knew, and said, "Superman can pull off a cape 'cause he's indestructible, but, yeah. Otherwise, not such a hot idea." Then, finally, "They had a class on superhero costuming here this summer, taught by Edna Mode. She pretty much painted Arthur's on him." Heeeeee.

"Yikes," Jaime laughed. "I bet he was really happy about that." Or not. "And..." did he want to ask?

Yeah. He totally did. "What about you?"

"What what about me?" Dinah asked, looking as innocent as she could as she went for more popcorn, and wishing for a Beaver Buzz. Which made her think of Jak.

"What about your costume?" he prodded, poking at her shoulder playfully.

He was so going to regret this when she inevitably found out about his own.

"I had one?" Dinah offered, turning redder. "Which was made of amazing bullet and alligator-proof material, and, um. That was the class where I ended getting called Tweety, because I tried to use my mom's call sign and Ms. Mode wasn't having any of that, and okay the heels were really too tall but I could run in them and there wasn't a cape and there was a jacket and no mask, masks are silly in New Gotham and will get you arrested...."

Dinah might have been hoping to bury him in that blizzard of verbiage.

"Huh." Jaime grinned. "And someone got pictures of all these, right? Who do I need to bribe?" He so wasn't going to let this one go.

"Too many people," Dinah growled, burying her face in her hands. "There was a fashion show at the end of class. Arthur nearly had a cow about it." That had been her major consolation at the time. "Francine looked really good. In pink." And way, way, way tooo tight.

"Well then, I know what I'm doing as soon as things get back to normal." Who else had been in that class that he could tease mercilessly? The possibilities were just too good!

Dinah stuck her tongue out at him, then proceeded to pelt him with popcorn. "I am so calling up Brenda, sometime when I somehow get her phone number, and demanding embarrassing photos of you, Reyes."

"Ha! Like she'll ever give those up." Jaime froze and corrected himself quickly. "I mean, like she even has any!"

"Ahaa! Yes! Score! Awesome! Win! Woooo! You just wait, Jaime! Vengeance will be mind and it will be sweet!" Dinah exulted, kicking her legs in glee.

"Vengeance?" Jaime repeated innocently. "I haven't even done anything!"

Yet.

Dinah pointed at him. "Don't give me that face! I don't believe that face!" She pointed to her own. "Not when I can do this too!"

"But... I'm so innocent!" Really!

"And, I'm so going to get those photos."
