Second floor common room [evening]

Ben was tired of staring at the four walls of his room, and had already spent a fairly unhealthy amount of time in the salle and in the gym working out some aggravation, so...common room.

He was flipping channels, looking for something that was exploding. He was currently cruising through the public access channels, so it could be a while.

Zayne walked into the common room and saw the channel flipping. "Nothing good on?" he asked.

"Nothing I can find," Ben said with a tiny smile, holding out the remote. "Want to have a go? Maybe you'll have better luck."

"I wouldn't count on that," Zayne said. "Unless you like shows in languages you don't understand."

While Jaina had gotten rid of her hangover earlier (she was getting good at that), she honestly hadn't been up for doing much of anything today for once. There'd been too many thoughts, and while it'd been frustrating at the time, she was oddly zen. Well, as zen as Jaina could be.

Bottle of water in hand, she found a seat and said, "Your dad who's not your dad says hi."

Because that was a fun conversation while hungover.

"Did you tell him that the sister who doesn't know she's his sister has kriffing terrible taste in men?" Ben asked.

"Nah," she said, making herself comfortable. "I think I'm over it already. I'd rather not embarrass myself there."

It was bad enough she felt she should apologize to Chuck. Yeah.

"Hey, Jaina," Zayne said. "Are you feeling okay?"

He wasn't used to zen Jaina. It was slightly weird.

Mostly zen. Mostly. "My head still hurts," she complained.

Hurley wandered into the common room, searching the kitchen area for some ingredients.

"Yo dudes," he said, waving as he looked. "Don't suppose anyone has seen a can of chili peppers anywhere?"

"Is it running under its own power?" Ben asked.

In Fandom, it didn't hurt to check.

"...I hope not," Hurley said. "I was just trying to see if there was any in the building. I didn't want to have to go out and buy some. Mainly cause it's, like, cold and stuff out there."

"I probably couldn't even tell you what one looks like," Jaina replied. Yes, yes, like a can of chili peppers but the point was she never even thought to look for that sort of thing.

"It's kinda... can shaped. Has the word 'chili peppers' on it," Hurley joked. "It's okay. They aren't, like, essential."

She'd gotten bored of simply staying in her room and keeping her firelizards to themselves so with Beauty on her shoulder, Menolly found her way down a floor to where there seemed to be people gathering.

She looked in the room a bit hesitantly. "Does the box just talk to you?"

Jaina was pretty sure this was the girl Ghanima had said seemed too shy to lead a revolt in class. Obviously this had to be remedied. "Fellow TA, right?" Jaina greeted her.

"You must be new," Ben said with a smile. "Hi. No, it's technology called television."

"You gotta be new," Hurley said. Then he saw the lizard. "Whoa, dude, awesome."

Bobby was currently... Avoiding thinking about things that needed thinking about, and so had headed out to seek distraction in a common room.

"Anything good on?" he asked, wandering inside.

"Not one thing," Ben complained. "Zayne found a show where toddlers hit their fathers in the crotch while people laughed."

"I'm not sure you could call it 'good'," Menolly admitted.

"Nope," Jaina replied, not even looking at the TV. "Join us anyway."

Gunn wandered into the common room and grabbed a soda from the vending machine before claiming one of the more comfy chairs. "We get Sports Night here?" he asked hopefully.
