Third Floor Common Room [Wednesday Evening]

Okay, not actually had Bobby had class today, he'd also done the homework he'd busily been avoiding on Monday.

To celebrate this, there was pie from J,GoB.

Lots of pie from J,GoB. It seems they'd baked a few two many turtle pies and wanted Bobby to take the extras off their hands. Bobby had misundertood at first, of course, and had thought they were offering him a turtle for every pie he bought.

But really, who would do that? That's just silly.

Not her floor, not her common room, whatever. Kennedy was on the phone anyway.

"--send you pictures to prove it, I swear," she was saying. "Yeah, I know, I know, I know, but I'm back on track with my training schedule. Seriously, Constance, it's all good. Chill, okay? Okay. Fine. Yeah. I'll check in with you in the morning. 'kay. Bye."

She hit End Call, shoved the phone back in her pocket, and rolled her eyes. "God. Oh, hey, Boy Scout. What's with the pie?"

"Kennedy!" who should fear, because the smile Bobby was aiming in her direction was equal parts 'glad to see you're human again' and 'I am going to tease you mercilessly for being a tiny adorable animal for a week'. "I dunno. I was gonna get just one pie, but they sort of insisted."

Fear? Yeah, right. Kennedy wasn't afraid of him. Even if she maybe should be.

"More for me, then. I'm still starving-- okay, what's with the look?"

"What look?" Bobby schooled his expression into his very best innocent-face.

"You," Kennedy said, pointing a finger at him, "aren't usually that happy to see me. Which means... oh, God. Don't even say it."

No, this wasn't Dan's floor but his floor was all quiet and boring. He wanted to be sociable for once.

"Hey Bobby," Dan said, looking a little surprised to see someone he knew on the first floor he tried. "What's with all the pie?"

"Yo Bobby," Hurley said, knowing this wasn't his floor.

"...dude. Pie."

"Oh, God," Kennedy whined-- yeah, totally whined. "Shut up. I was not."

"Dan!" Bobby waved. And then because he was a horrible person, reached over to grab Kennedy's arm to try and make her wave at him too. "I'm not sure. I wasn't gonna argue with free pie, though."

Aaaaaaaand yeah, that'd be Kennedy unwillingly waving at Dan with one hand and trying to smack Bobby with the other.

"Hey," she told the guy, glaring sharp pointy daggers of impending doom at Bobby.

"Yup," Bobby nodded. "Turtle pie, which I haven't actually heard of before, but there's chocolate and caramel and it's really pretty good, you know?" yes, he'd already had a few slices. Could you tell?

Dan waved back, and felt slightly bad the girl had to be pulled into it. "You raise a good point. Free pie shouldn't be questioned."

Well now everyone knew how to poison Dan if they had the urge. He'd never look a gift pie in the mouth.

"You were so," Bobby argued. "Tara agreed with me," he said smugly.

"Hey," Dan said, waving back at her. "Don't hurt Bobby or anything. He's my fake brother so I think he's taking it upon himself to make me feel welcome. Even if he has to force people into doing it."

"...oh, that kind of turtle," Hurley said. "I was worried for a second."

Kennedy stalked toward him, aimed a light kick nowhere actually near his ankle, grabbed a piece of pie, and dropped onto the couch next to him. "She's allowed," she told Bobby through a mouthful of pie. "You, I have to hurt."

"Good man," Bobby said approvingly. "I'm also sharing, which means free pie for you too."

...you know, she was going to let him think that, and hope Bobby didn't explain what the deal was. "He's asking for an ass-kicking too," she said, but let up on the smacking attempts. Mostly. "New kid, then?"

"Thanks," Dan said. "I'm sure you'll get a lot of karma points for sharing."

"Ow!" Bobby said with a pout as said kick connected, even thought... hadn't actually hurt that much. It was just an instinctive ow.

"What's so bad about being adorable, anyway?" he asked.

"...Ew." Bobby said, after a long pause. "That's just gross, man."

"Yeah," Dan said with a nod. "I'm Dan. It's nice to meet you."

Well, he wasn't sure if he totally meant that last part. The girl seemed kind of violent.

"Hey, I wasn't sure, dude," Hurley said. "There's some people with weird tastes at this school."

"Little fluffy cuddly animals are adorable." Kennedy, you're not disproving his point here, no matter how annoyed you look right now. "Babies are adorable. I'm not."

Oh, by the way? She was pouting too, at the indignity of this. It could be a pout-off.
