Sixth Floor Common Room, Wednesday Evening [WARREN'S BIRTHDAY PARTY!]

Through some miracle of timing, Bobby had actually managed to get everything for Warren's party set up earlier before heading off to Karla's.

Now, though, it was Warren's turn. Hopefully people would still have room for even more food after a BBQ, because the amount of food two brilliant bakers plus one person with access to a very good catering service was impressive.

At least people could work all those excess calories off in the ball pit?

[OOC: up early for slowplay, yay!]

"Hinata's been pretty good about it," Warren noted. "I mean, if I can tolerate her kitten trying to take me apart from behind, then she can get her head around the mess."

Shrug.

"And anyhow, I clean up after myself."

Which was a challenge when said kitten had claimed all of the feathers as her own.

"Vacuum?" Ben asked, "or do they get stuck?"

Yes, visions of making a droid to help were dancing in his head. Fear.

"They don't really get stuck," Warren replied, "but... air currents, and all that. Turning on a vacuum tends to make them scatter, more than anything."

Feathers everywhere. And then everywhere else.

"The problem with anything made to stay airborne, I guess. At least the kitten likes it."

Ben nodded thoughtfully. "Would you mind if I poked around with the idea?" he asked. "I bet I could make something to fix that..."

Warren offered Ben a smile and a shrug. "I don't see why not. I've just kind of defaulted to a wet mop, but that doesn't do any good on carpet, or anything."

Feathers couldn't scatter if they were soggy and sticking to things, after all.

"Consider whatever I come up with a late birthday present, then," Ben said with a smile. "If it works. If it doesn't, consider it a gift from someone else."
