Main Campfire | Afternoon | Sunday | May 23
The cabins were a bit of a change. Bod wouldn't necessarily call them a bad change but they were going to take some getting used to. He still had his own space and his privacy but it was lessened now and he'd have to remember that. After doing some unpacking, he'd wandered out to main campfire and taken a seat, taking advantage of the overcast day. He really didn't need to end up sunburned on the first day even if he knew about Karla's sunburn salves now.
So, he was out there now, a book resting on one bent knee and back against one of the logs. He knew it wasn't much of a change from what he tended to do on quiet days but Bod saw no reason that a change in setting would mean a change in routine.
[Oooh, a campfire post! Open, of course!]

Of course, if Ariel ever found that that the sun was really just a giant ball of fire, then she'd feel pretty embarrassed because then it would make perfect sense.
But, as of now, she didn't have a clue. Although it was really surprising that she hadn't yet been subjected to it.

"Sunburn?" It seemed to be one of the things that might be unfamiliar. "If I stay out in the sun too long, I'll get a sunburn. It's basically a low grade burn of my skin. I turn red and it's uncomfortable and painful."

Not only was it cute, she figured, but it never hurt to bring it to people's attention that she really did have fabulous hair.

But she smiled and gestured at the cabins, taking a second to point toward her own, Zombie. And then looked to Bod to ask which one was his.

But she nodded, lifting her shoulders in a happy little sigh that spoke plenty for how much she enjoyed all the trees and the grass and the birds and even the bees were interesting, though she had to wallop the seaweed out of one of them after it stung. It still wasn't as bad as a jellyfish sting, though.
She tilted her head questioning to return the inquiry.

And even if there were, Ariel'd bested sharks before.

She shook her head slightly, gesturing to herself to indicate that she could relate to being a fish (ba-da-ching) out of water. But, she also tried to express through her gestures, she loved it! These differences were all so different and unique and everything she'd hoped they could ever be.

...well, scardy catfish, anyway.
To the question, though, she shook her head.

She was the silent type, then?

Not that it would be for much long, though, if everything went to plan. Mwa ha ha.

Ariel's plan would be thwarted with young James, as his one true love would not happen for at least a decade.

Not that it really mattered. It wasn't like she could say anything to him. Yet.
