The Roof, Thursday Afternoon
After saying goodbye to Triela, Karla'd had two options: go to her room and worry or do something, anything else. Since she had pretty much spent the past week doing the former, she'd opted for the latter today. Rather than sit on her bed and brood, only putting on her cheerful face when someone stopped by, she stayed inside only long enough to change into her bodystocking and then practically flung herself into the air.
A few laps around the island and she'd actually been feeling better. The exertion was enough to take her mind offthe maenad things and she found herself in much better spirits by the time she came winging back to the dorm roof.
[Open like a rooftop, for both flyers and not!]

foreshadowyday yesterday, Luke wanted nothing more than to be outdoors and be distracted by anything that had to do with deep thoughts. The roof was on the top of his list of places to hang out, if only because it didn't take much effort to get there. He came up in time to catch Karla making her way back to the roof and for a moment there, all her could do was stare. He just wasn't used to people other than him flying around.

"Kiss kiss!" she called. "Lovely day for a fly. Wanna join me?"
She was curious about how he's fly in sneakers, it was true.

Luke made sure he had some space to move before looking down at his shoes and saying "Maia" in a clear, authoritative tone. Immediately two pairs of white wings unfurled out of the shoes. They stretched a little, like they were glad to be out for once.
Luke pushed up a little, and flew up into a low hover, letting himself get used to the feeling of being in the air again. "Oh yeah, I've missed this."

"Hey, there," he said. "How are ya? I'm looking for a girl, maybe you can help me."

Which was basically his catch-all description.
"Oh! Red hair. It's lot of red hair." He nearly forgot how helpful that hint had been.

"I knew it!" he called. "I just knew it! Humans fly! They didn't believe me, but I knew it!"
Finding a safe place on the roof to land, he lifted a wing and called out there, "Yoo-hoo! Flying human!" The wing then waved in the air. "Hello!"

Right now, though, he was simply out for a moment to stare across the town, which is why Karla got a slight smile as he made his way up the stairs.

He was smiling by the time he made out the shape of the other flyer in question, yes.
"Not a bad day for flying," he called, waving as he got close, "is it?"

She'd had to spend hours scrubbing syrup out of her wings.

"I had to get Bobby to help me with my feathers when the fire alarm went off during that chocolate mess," he offered, because that was pretty much the same idea, only with less flying and more feathers. "I would have been weeks cleaning that up without help. I think it's pretty safe to say that most of Fandom's weird feather? Is not so great for flying in."
Try flying through a shower of tiny giraffes or tennis balls or something. Really, there was such a thing as bad rain for flying. Fandom invented it.

Warren couldn't help it. Seagull or no, he cast a little smile in the bird's direction. And a small nod, as well.

But there she was. Once more trying this socialization thing in a place where she could crumble and turn to ash and be very cross for however long it took to come back.
At least she had an umbrella, though.
"You're flying," she pointed out needlessly. Just in case no one was reading all that narrative.

He may have forgotten for a moment, what he'd come up here for, and was just enjoying all the people and the sights and the flying around.
