Second Floor Common Room, Friday Afternoon

Cream? Check.

Milk? Check.

As many different types of chocolate as they could find? Check.

Enough other various toppings and ingredients to open up a grocery store? Check and double-check.

The second floor common room's kitchen had been transformed. Bowls filled with fruit, candy, chocolate pieces, and other various ingredients were strewn about the counter. Tiny bottles filled with lemon, vanilla, and peppermint extracts lined up like soldiers awaiting deployment. Every available surface in the fridge was filled with cartons of heavy cream and gallons of milk.

In the center of it all, whirring in self-important splendor, was the ice cream maker Ben had gotten for his birthday.

"This," Karla breathed as she glanced around the kitchen one more time, "is going to be epic."

"That sounds delicious!" Asuna grabbed a bowl preparing for a snack. She liked ice cream. "I didn't know people can just make ice cream!"

"I got Ben an ice cream maker for his birthday," Karla explained. "I think there's a way to do it be hand but it sounds dreadfully dull. There's a lot of stirring involved."

Thank the Darkness for Craft, since Kaeleer didn't have fancy ice cream makers.

"Is it easy to use? Asuna asked, she's never seen an ice cream maker before. She did think of working for an ice cream shop once though.

"Pretty much!" Karla said cheerfully. "Just put everything in and turn it on. Almost impossible to mess up!"

Yet watch them succeed at that anyway!
