Salle | Afternoon | Sunday | September 5

It was safe to say that Percy had been looking forward to this since he and Luke had made plans. It wasn't just getting to fight someone that he could go all out against, it was getting to fight Luke. Every single time he'd come up against Luke in the last three years, it'd been when Luke had a gang of monsters and minions at his back.

This would be one on one. When he'd met Luke, he'd been easily bested, easily shown up and easily embarrassed. He'd learned though and he wasn't the same person now as he was back then. Percy didn't know if he could beat Luke but he knew he'd give him a tough fight.

For now, he was taking some easy swings at the practice dummies, warming up with Riptide while he waited for his cousin to show up.

[Percy's only gonna be fighting Luke but the salle is totes open for conversation and practice!]

Luke had totally seen that coming, and was almost disappointed in Percy for taking such an easy shot. He blocked Riptide with his shield and used the close proximity to try to get Percy in the ribs.

That might've worked if, you know, Luke wasn't a giant compared to Percy. Luke decided to give Percy a taste of his own medicine and pushed back against his shield, planting a foot down on the ground in order to steady himself.

Luke wasn't about to give Percy too much of a breather. He moved quickly to close the distance between the two of them, keeping his sword low to try to get Percy in the leg. He had given up trying to make this fancy and impressive, he was trying to hit whatever spot he could to make Percy bleed.

It wasn't the most graceful of moves, but Luke managed to jump back in time to miss getting hit in the stomach. Thank the gods, because that would hurt and Luke didn't have the nifty healing powers Percy did.

Luckily he managed to recover quickly, and brought his shield down on the hand Percy was holding Riptide with.

Luke took advantage of that by taking a page out of Percy's book and slammed his shield hard into Percy's in order to get him to fall over. He was out of breath and kind of sweaty, but this was the most excitement he's had in months.

Well, aside from the whole Rapture thing, obviously.

Luke had been congratulating himself on knocking Percy over that he didn't even think about him retaliating until it was almost too late. He backed up as quickly as possible, but ended up tripping over his own feet and falling over.

Whatever, a sore ass was better than being sliced up.

Luke groaned when that hit connected and was surprised Percy didn't freaking break his jaw. He was just thankful he didn't bite his lip or anything because, wow, that would be a lame way to lose.

The dirty move (yeah, because Luke hitting Percy in the hand wasn't a dirty move) only served to piss Luke off. His jaw was throbbing, but Luke managed enough focus to use one hand to push himself up and swung his sword around to jab Percy in the thigh. He was being a little less careful to only give Percy superficial damage now, figuring that a demigod could take something a little more serious.

Well there was no getting up with Percy sprawled on him like this. Luke was strong, but he couldn't lift Percy's weight while they were fighting at the same time. So he stopped attacking long enough so he could roll them so he was on top.

He was so glad there wasn't an audience now. This would be hard to explain.

Luke was not really looking for two marks on his face, thank you. The struggling was easy to take care of since he had his height and strength behind him. The sword, however, was a different matter. He dropped his own shield so he could try to grab Percy's wrist and pin it down to avoid getting clocked in the face.

Yeah, because kneeing him in the groin wasn't going make him pissed at all, Percy.

Considering how close they were, a knee to the groin wasn't as bad as it could have been, but it still fucking sucked. Luke loosened his grip on Percy's wrist without even realizing it, instead focusing on getting revenge for the cheap move and moving his leg so his knee was digging into Percy's hip. He was about to forget the sword and just punch the kid in the face. That could get him to bleed too.

The hit connected and caused Luke to roll off of Percy and people were very sad about that. He pushed himself up off the ground quickly. He didn't have his shield on him anymore, but it didn't matter. He had won fights without one before.

Luke knew his left hand was his weak spot now, and took extra care to protect it, moving to strike at the arm Percy was holding Riptide with.

He wasn't as quick as he had been at the beginning of the fight, but was doing his best to keep his focus even if he could use some aspirin right now.
