Third Floor Common Room - Sunday Evening
Sunday wasn't exactly a study day, but he'd had a slow week and didn't want to fall behind. He worked better with other people around and so had his Chemistry homework out in front of him. Jack was sitting cross-legged on the floor, occasionally glancing at the door as if hoping for a distraction.

But his brother was a welcome bonus. "Hi Jack!" he said happily. "Do you have any cookies down here? Oh, are you doing homework? What are you working on?"

She stepped in, dressed in a simple black dress as usual. She peered over the rims of her glasses at him. "A strange choice of places to study," she said, barely restraining her smile.

She glanced at the homework, then laughed.
"Chemistry?" she said. "I think I dodged a bullet on that one."

Or possibly answer keys, but her dad was a teacher so she wasn't supposed to say that out loud.

Which would be why there was Yei, a tiny white kitten with big eyes, investigating George's ankles.
Ankles were interesting!

Awww. Cute kitten. George leaned over and scooped it up, carefully, before plopping it on her lap.
"So who do you belong to?" she asked. "I shouldn't keep you. I have bad luck with pets."

There was a small white kitten wandering into the common room like she owned it. A little bit after her came a girl with long dark blue hair and white eyes who looked much less like she owned the place.
Really, all she'd wanted was apricot juice that the floor below was out of. Hinata hadn't expected all of the people and paused, a bit dubiously, in the doorway--they were all new people--while Yei went to investigate a... bit of fluff on the floor.

"I was merely surprised," she admitted, stepping into the room. "I was not expecting," a crowd of people she didn't know, "the room to be so busy."

"I can--I can take her out of here," Hinata said, a bit worried. "I'm sorry. I d-didn't think about allergies." Ahhhh.

Which was all a very long-winded way of saying William was poking his head into the third floor common room. "Ah! Excellent. Good evening, all," he greeted.
