Fifth Floor Common Room, Sunday evening

After getting back from Colorado, Bruce got some dinner from Ching Tai. Unfortunately, they gave way too much food, so he set up in the common room. If people were hungry, they could take. He could have done that and gone to his room with his food, but he figured that would prevent him from seeing how other people were reacting to the gender switch. And really, his want to be left alone was easily overruled by his curiosity.

While he was in the common room, though, he wasn't touching the TV. It would end up stuck on the Style Network or something if he did. He could deal with being a girl, but that was asking too much.

"No, I'm normally a bit taller with a deeper voice. I'm Bruce," Bruce said. "But this is pretty far down on the list of worst things that have ever happened to me, so I can deal with it."

Part of that was because having breasts for a day was pretty cool, of course.

"Then your life must have really sucked," Quinn decided. "This is just ... gross and I'm big and weird and the only clothes that fit are the stuff I sleep in on fat days."

She glanced over. "I'm Quinn. You ... kind of still look like you."

"I've had some rough stretches," Bruce said. "And it's actually a little surprising how that worked out. Most people seem a little farther off than I would have guessed. Almost like they're completely different PBs somehow.."

"I don't spend a lot of time thinking about what my friends would look like if they were different genders," Quinn said with a little shrug. "My coloring's about the same, but I don't look like my dad or anything, thank God.

"What, he's not as pretty as you're used to being?" Bruce asked.

There was a compliment in there, too.

"He just looks like a dad," Quinn answered with a smile and a little shrug. "I'm still pretty this way, I just don't want to see me in a short skirt."

"I think we're all fortunate for that. At best it would be awkward. Probably more like indecent," Bruce mused.

"It'd be like a cheesy comedy skit," Quinn decided. "Not a good look on me. Or anyone."

"I'm pretty sure I couldn't pull it off," Bruce agreed. "Well, in this body I could, but that's a different story entirely."

"Yeah, I think it's better we not start judging by what we can do in these bodies," Quinn decided. "Since these had better be temporary, and everything."

"Look at the bright side. You might understand guys a little better by the time this is over," Bruce said.

"Maybe," Quinn said. "What about you? Are you all in touch with your feminine side?"

"Not all in touch, but I think I can appreciate girls a little more," Bruce said. "I had to shop for myself, after all. It was slightly awkward."

"You couldn't borrow stuff from" -- Ariel -- "people?" Quinn wondered. "I would have felt weird buying clothes. You're braver than me."

"When everyone was waking up and freaking out about the change? I don't think that would have been the best time to ask for favors," Bruce said. "And this way I'm ready if it ever happens again. I'll just have to keep this in the back of my closet."
