Fifth Floor Common Room, Sunday evening

After getting back from Colorado, Bruce got some dinner from Ching Tai. Unfortunately, they gave way too much food, so he set up in the common room. If people were hungry, they could take. He could have done that and gone to his room with his food, but he figured that would prevent him from seeing how other people were reacting to the gender switch. And really, his want to be left alone was easily overruled by his curiosity.

While he was in the common room, though, he wasn't touching the TV. It would end up stuck on the Style Network or something if he did. He could deal with being a girl, but that was asking too much.

A boy with bangs of emo and wearing a skirt peeked into the common room to see how other people were handling the change. This had happened before and she knew the next day she would be herself again, but that didn't stop Raven from being self-conscious about how she looked now. It just felt so unnatural.

"Raven?" Bruce guessed based on the look. Some of these were easier than others. "Come in. There's plenty of food."

The chakra in her -- his -- forehead was a dead giveaway. "Yes, thank you," she said, trying to puzzle out who he was. She wasn't attuned to Bruce like some other people. "I am sorry, I am not entirely certain who you are."

"Bruce Wayne," Bruce said. "And don't worry about it. Everyone seems to be at least a little confused today. Anyone who isn't has to be cheating."

Raven glanced around at the other people in the common room and managed a tiny smile. "She is not," she said, pointing at Puck. "She is enjoying herself."

"He's cheating by being Puck," Bruce countered. "I don't think he could enjoy this much more than he already is."

"This happened last year, too," Raven sighed. "Fortunately, the effect should go away by tomorrow, and we should all return to normal."

"I was wondering it this was something new," Bruce said. "I'm sure hearing that will make a lot of people a little more comfortable."

Bruce didn't really let the news affect him. It was pretty much what he expected.

"I have been trying to ease people's minds where I could," Raven agreed. Both with her powers and just telling them it would be gone by the next day. "I turned into a boy last year as well, though I think then only the girls changed. The boys changed on another day. This is the first time I know of that we all changed together."

"And this time we changed off the island," Bruce said. "Fandom really enjoys changing things up on us."

"I believe alumni have changed as well in the past," Raven said thoughtfully. "But yes, this has never occurred when so many of us were away on a break."

"I'd heard about the alumni before," Bruce said. "I suppose it's a trade off. Get a good education in a variety of fields and get a lot of life experience. But some of that life experience is going to be bizarre and mildly embarrassing."

"And then there is the difficulty of explaining yourself if you do turn into someone of the opposite gender or a child or a small animal after graduation," Raven said.

"Raven!" Puck guessed happily. "Dude, if you're not Raven, you so look like her twin brother."

"I do not have a brother," Raven said, in complete ignorance of the retcon done to her canon. "But yes, I am Raven." She stared at Puck, trying to puzzle out who he was. "I know you, your emotions have a familiar...taste." For lack of a better word.

"That's weird," Puck said thoughtfully. "I'm Puck. You can't tell? My good looks didn't translate?"

If Raven was a less nice person, she would have said, "Perhaps I would have been able to tell if you were throwing a slurpee on someone." But instead, she nodded. "Yes, I should have recognized your amusement, it is definitely familiar to me. You are enjoying yourself today."

"I'm a girl! It's fun!" he said happily. "Most people aren't. I think I'm the only happy one."

Raven twitched a little. "You are not the only one," she said, since there were definitely people in their rooms...experimenting. "But you seem to be the most open about the experience."

"I have boobs," Puck pointed out. "I see no bad here whatsoever. Everyone else is freaking out for no reason."

"I would much rather be in my true form," Raven said. "This body is unnatural and hard."

She didn't quite mean it that way, Puck.

"I know, I am really hot this way," he said, grinning.

Because of course he'd taken it that way.

It took Raven a few seconds to figure out why Puck was so amused, since slang didn't come naturally to her. Then she blushed furiously. "I did not mean it that way!"

"I know but it's way funnier to pretend you did," he replied with a smirk.

"I do not possess the same sense of humor that you do," Raven said, brushing the emo bangs from her eyes. "But I do understand how misunderstandings are used as the basis of some comedic situations." She'd seen a sitcom or two!
