Fifth Floor Common Room, Sunday evening

After getting back from Colorado, Bruce got some dinner from Ching Tai. Unfortunately, they gave way too much food, so he set up in the common room. If people were hungry, they could take. He could have done that and gone to his room with his food, but he figured that would prevent him from seeing how other people were reacting to the gender switch. And really, his want to be left alone was easily overruled by his curiosity.

While he was in the common room, though, he wasn't touching the TV. It would end up stuck on the Style Network or something if he did. He could deal with being a girl, but that was asking too much.

[OOC: Open like a gender-neutral common room.]

"Chinese food," William echoed. "Well, all right. It's most appreciated- I'm afraid in all the... excitement... I ended up neglecting the matter of meals."

"William," he replied. Had he been wearing his usual jacket and trousers, or at least a hat, it probably would have been easier for Bruce to figure out his identity. Alas, his contemporary clothes fit better than his usual ones, and wearing a hat indoors would just be silly. "It's interesting to note this 'whimsy' of Fandom's is a less localized phenomena than I'd previously thought."

"I turned in to a puppy last week, and remained one for about half the trip," William offered. "Although still, that originated in Fandom."

"In the middle of the hallway," William recounted ruefully. "It was only Alexander's timey assistance that saved me from having to find my room whilst starkers."

"It was incredibly embarassing," William groaned. "I'm glad to have been able to offer you forewarning."

"Life in Fandom gives rise to the oddest statements," William said, with an almost-smile. "I suppose it's a good thing that I'm starting to become used to that."

"Oh, there was a fair amount of 'freaking out' when I awoke this morning," William confessed. "This transformation in particular would prove quite troubling to almost anyone from my own era, I think."

"Perhaps," William said. "But most people- mostly of the male persuasion, I'll admit- have certain foolish perceptions of gender and intelligence. I think waking up female would shatter those quite thoroughly."

"They might try," William replied. "But there are enough fallacies in the original argument that that particular justification would not hold up, I think, without re-examining the prejudices in question."
