Fifth Floor Common Room, Sunday evening

After getting back from Colorado, Bruce got some dinner from Ching Tai. Unfortunately, they gave way too much food, so he set up in the common room. If people were hungry, they could take. He could have done that and gone to his room with his food, but he figured that would prevent him from seeing how other people were reacting to the gender switch. And really, his want to be left alone was easily overruled by his curiosity.

While he was in the common room, though, he wasn't touching the TV. It would end up stuck on the Style Network or something if he did. He could deal with being a girl, but that was asking too much.

"Right," Calvin said after a moment. "You're normally tall and broody."

"I have breasts." This was what it took to phase him. "Suddenly waking up with these isn't normal."

Please bear in mind that Calvin considered having an anthropomorphic tiger that most people thought was a stuffed toy for a best friend to fall under the category of normal.

"No, but it does fit in with typical Fandom strangeness," Bruce said.

Calvin grimaced. "True, but you usually don't start growing things though."

"I would have thought the bigger trauma would be losing things," Bruce said.

It was for him. Growing things wasn't too bad for a day.

"Did you have to remind me?" Calvin had been doing such a good job of repressing that part too.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to reopen any emotional scars," Bruce apologized.

"This'll wear off, right?" Calvin asked. "I mean this kind of weirdness usually does."

"I expect everything to be normal tomorrow," Bruce said. "Which is fortunate. I'd hate to be in an unusual body in Weapons class."

"I have food class," Calvin said. "Taking that would be weird if girl taste-buds are different." Because clearly the noodles he'd been scarfing down hadn't clued him into the fact that wasn't the case.

That was a fact that Bruce noticed. "Does that food taste any different than normal?"

Calvin considered the noodles thoughtfully. "Not really."

"Then I think you'd be safe for class," Bruce said.

"Good," Calvin said in relief. "Nothing tasting right would be the worst thing."

Even worse than losing certain portions of his anatomy.
