Fifth Floor Common Room, Sunday evening

After getting back from Colorado, Bruce got some dinner from Ching Tai. Unfortunately, they gave way too much food, so he set up in the common room. If people were hungry, they could take. He could have done that and gone to his room with his food, but he figured that would prevent him from seeing how other people were reacting to the gender switch. And really, his want to be left alone was easily overruled by his curiosity.

While he was in the common room, though, he wasn't touching the TV. It would end up stuck on the Style Network or something if he did. He could deal with being a girl, but that was asking too much.

[OOC: Open like a gender-neutral common room.]

"No. Well, I would like to know the answer to that as well, but I suspect that's the sort of thing that will involve a good amount of research," William admitted. "What I require is, it's a matter of- paperwork. I don't have any, you see, not being from this time, and that unfortunate oversight has caused me a bit of trouble," he frowned. "A couple weeks ago, I was almost handed over to your 'social services'. It's an experience I'd not care to repeat."

Claudia wrinkled her nose. "Eeeeeeeee, yeah, that would suck. I haven't really tried to build someone an ID before, but I could give it a shot. You want just a simple driver's license, or, like, something that'll stand up to scrutiny?"

"Something that would stand up to scrutiny, if possible," William confirmed. "The Baltimore police were very persistent."

Claudia laughed softly. "It might take me a little while, but I can probably at least find someone who can help out. Let me guess, the Baltimore police weren't big on you going after that werewolfy case?"

"They thought since I knew so much about it, clearly I must have been involved. Which is ludicrous, as anyone with an understanding of basic geometry would have been able to determine."

"Yeeeeah, cops aren't always good at basic geometry. They prefer, like, motive and alibi and stuff to figure things out."

"Key parts of any investigation, I'll agree, but why ignore the fact that science can tell us just as much, if not more, about a crime?" William complained. Yes, he was a little forensics geek in the making, how'd you guess?

"Because some people really suck at science?" Claudia guessed. "They even have whole teams devoted to that, but it's, like, expensive, so they only do it when the 'regular' police work doesn't turn anything up."
