Fifth Floor Common Room, Sunday evening

After getting back from Colorado, Bruce got some dinner from Ching Tai. Unfortunately, they gave way too much food, so he set up in the common room. If people were hungry, they could take. He could have done that and gone to his room with his food, but he figured that would prevent him from seeing how other people were reacting to the gender switch. And really, his want to be left alone was easily overruled by his curiosity.

While he was in the common room, though, he wasn't touching the TV. It would end up stuck on the Style Network or something if he did. He could deal with being a girl, but that was asking too much.

"That's what she said," Karla said with a shrug. "Though she seemed very surprised to hear this our Dinah was a natural blonde. I guess Dinah's version of Gotham is really different from everyone else's. Huh, I wonder if she got hit with this, too. I hope she wasn't at college if she was."

The could totally chat about Fandom!Dinah for a bit.

"Yeah, for one thing she's not even supposed to be from Gotham. Or the East Coast, for that matter," Roy said. "Never mind New Gotham, whatever weirdness that is. But I'm sure she can handle it, it's not like she's likely to have changed in the middle of class or whatever, right?"

"But she does have a roommate," Karla reminded. "One who hasn't had a chance to get used to Fandom-weird. That could be really awkward, if she wakes up first and sees a random guy in her roommate's bed."

Especially since Dinah was Not That Kind of Girl.

"They're in college, Karla. She probably won't think anything of it," Roy said. "That's sort of what college is for."

"Really?" Karla asked. She was still a little fuzzy on a lot of the details. "Is that why so many females dance to pay for it? Dinah explained that to me."

Well, Dinah had explained something. How much it had in common with what Karla had learned was another thing entirely.

Roy didn't think very many people actually did that, but if Dinah was pranking Karla or whatever he wasn't going to be the one to ruin it. But, "I don't think one actually has anything to do with the other?"

"Are you sure," Karla asked. "I don't know if you've seen some of the dancing that they do..."

It was okay, Roy. Her boyfriend had grown up really sheltered, too. Karla would be happy to explain the ways of this world to you.

"Oh, no, I totally--uh, you know what, let's stop this tangent while you still have a halfway decent opinion of me." Although really, Ollie, who'd taken the minor to the strip club, was more to blame here.

"I think there's a connection," Karla said wisely, with a nod for emphasis. "But I'll stop."

Poor Roy. Karla didn't have any experience with these things, either, but she was a Black Widow. Her embarrassment threshold was probably higher than his.

As was her occasional self-delusion quota!
