The Roof, Saturday Evening

After spending the last bit of his vacation hiding from the world and clinging to his laptop, it was time for Tony to brave the world again. And pray no one remembered he got drunk and puked on a tree.

It was all Bobby's fault anyway.

So he was going to get a bit of fresh air up on the roof before going to his lab for the rest of his life. It was for the best, really.

Warren had spent an entire week with invisible wings. And for as awesome as it was, just hanging out on the beach shirtless without being stared at for being some kind of mutie freak, not being able to see his wings out of the corner of his eye had been driving him kind of nuts.

And so, as soon as he'd gotten his things unpacked and he'd settled in some, he was making a beeline for the roof, where he was going to stretch.

Because he could.

Who cared if it was chilly up here? Look! Feathers!

SHIRTLESS GUY WITH WINGS ALL UP IN TONY'S SPACE.

"Hi," Tony said, mostly wondering if he was cold. And again how fast he could fly. Damn science.

Warren blinked over toward Tony, and then plastered a kind of sheepish smile onto his face. He hadn't expected the roof to be occupied yet. Because apparently he wasn't aware that the roof was the most hip place to be, around here.

Someday, he'd catch on.

"Hey there," he replied, folding his wings over his back and his arms over his front. Because yes, he was cold. Especially after a week in Hawaii. "Sorry, I just needed to... Uh."

To shrug. Yes.

"I'm not interrupting anything, I hope?"

The roof was the hippest place to be since forever, oh em gee.

"Interrupting? No," Tony answered quickly. "Aren't you cold?"

Bobby... couldn't suppress a relieved sort of grin as he caught sight of Warren-complete-with-wings.

"Why am I not surprised this is the first place you'd head for?" he asked. Probably because he was equally as predictable, for... actually pretty similar reasons?

"Because you know me?" Warren laughed a little, stretching out again for good measure. "After a week of turning around in little fits and trying to figure out what's missing from the landscape, I kind of needed this."

Like, a lot.

He'd need to be more dressed to actually go flying, but for now? Stretching. Lots of it.

Bruce had been making his way up to the roof just to get himself reacquainted with the fresh air you could get on a rooftop. But there was Tony.

"I see you survived your bar experience," Bruce offered.

"Oh god, don't remind me," Tony replied with a sigh.

"That bad, huh?" Bruce asked. "You didn't profess love for anyone or destroy anything, did you?"

"I feel like Mata Hari," Ramona admitted, wandering over to Bruce after talking to Tony. "Operation Cape is under way."

Bruce felt a genuine grin cross his face at that. "Is he actually going for it?"

Ender spent his fair amount of time on this roof, so it really shouldn't be a surprise that, after a week of sea and sun, he'd opt for sky tonight.

He had his laptop under his arm as he walked onto the room, and took brief notice of who else was there.

"Hey, Tony."

"Ender!" Oh, thank god it wasn't Steph. Or someone else he hit on. WHY, ALCOHOL? WHY?! "Hey," Tony said, going for smooth and not quite getting there.

"You sound a little off," Ender noted, because he was still The Least Dense Boy On The Island (tm), sorry, Tony. "Hangover?"

Maybe Bobby's ears were burning. Or maybe he was just glad to be back someplace where the rest of him wasn't in danger of burning in a sunburny kind of way. But anyway, here he was, up on the roof to enjoy that nice, properly wintery sort of air.

"Hey, dude," Bobby greeted Tony. It belatedly occurred to him that the other boy might be less-than-pleased with him for that whole killer hangover thing, but oh well. TOO LATE NOW.

"I puked on a tree." YES, THAT WAS AN ACCUSATION, BOBBY. J'ACCUSE.

Bobby winced. "I'm sorry?" he offered sheepishly. "I... kind of forgot that the whole hangover part might be an issue."

While they'd been in Hawaii, where everything was clean and pretty, Jason had been good. Now that they were back in Fandom, Jason had no qualms about heading up to the roof with his cigarettes and lighter, at least until he noticed he wasn't alone. "Is this spot taken?" he asked, sitting down by the roof's edge.

"It's a very exclusive roof," Tony replied with a half grin. Because he needed to know aaaall the Gothamites. ALL OF THEM.

Considering how much better the Gothamites were than anyone else, Tony was a very lucky guy.

"So I've heard," Jason replied, pulling a cigarette out before looking at Tony again. "Want one?" He did have enough manners to share, sometimes.

"You smoke?" Ramona asked, tilting her head when she spotted Jason. "Also, hi big brother, how are you?"

"Occasionally. Like when I can't for a whole week because I don't know how Hawaii feels about that sort of thing," Jason said, offering her the pack. "Do you want one? I'm doing okay. How's it going for you?"

"The longer you wear that color, the more I think it looks nice on you," Ramona offered as she wandered onto the roof, hands thrust into her pockets.

"You just want your hair color back," Tony replied, running a hand through his hair.

"Are you kidding? I still look good with brown hair," Ramona replied, shrugging. "Why would I worry about changing it?"
