Halloween Mixer - 6th Floor, Monday After Classes

When people arrived for the party, the sixth floor was decked out with what appeared to be half of a party store. Like Halloween got sick all over the place. With glitter. You couldn't have Halloween without an inordinate amount of glitter, right? It was high school, this was a law.

If you ignored that, the rest of the place was set up for people to be able to hang out and get to know each other. Or continue to know each other.

Whichever worked for the guests.

"Okay?" she promised, a bit weakly. "I'll ... be less scary than a butterfly next year."

Hank peered at her some more. If you squinted, you could almost see it. "Really?! I thought you were one of the Fluttering Horde!"

Tara shook her head vigorously. "Nuh-uh. Just a regular butterfly."

Then, more cautiously: "What's a fluttering horde?"

"Henchmen of the Monarch," Hank answered, taking off the hat for a moment. "He's my pop's archnemesis! The henchmen all dress like that -- well, almost. And they kidnap me a lot!"

"...okay, I kind of understand why you freaked," Tara decided. "Seriously, I had no idea. Uh. Sorry you get kidnapped?"

"Nah, it's okay," Hank replied. "Brock always rescues me. And they haven't come to Fandom yet, so that's probably good, right? I kinda miss them, though..."
