6th Floor Common Room, Saturday evening

The sixth floor common room was all done up for a party. Really all that meant was that there was pizza, chips, and drinks (including some that seemed to be mysteriously unlabeled for anyone who might want to drink something that IS TOTALLY FINE AND YOU CAN'T PROVE OTHERWISE in the dorms). There was also a small American flag over by the TV to indicate that what this weekend was really about wasn't completely forgotten, especially considering Jessica's recent military experiences.

But those experiences were even more reason for her to relax, play some music on the radio, and hope that nobody stabbed anybody this time.

[OOC: This is the party with the I Never game that leads to Not-So-Final Destination Week. If you'd like to participate in that, please at least establish yourself in the game and maybe throw out some prompts!

Everyone in the dorms is invited via fliers from earlier this week.]

Anya made her way in slowly, wondering if it had been a good idea to show up.

People, drinks, parties...it had been a while.

"Hi there, person I have a class with but whose name I don't remember right now but I'm very sorry about that," Jessica said. "Please remind me what your name is, because my nickname for you is unbearably long."

"You totally guessed my name right, though," Anya said as she smiled a bit. "Okay, not really. I'm Anya Corazón. Nice to meet you."

"Jessica Drew. Nice to meet you in the real world and not just class," Jessica said. "Grab a drink, have a seat, enjoy the party."

"I'll certainly will do all of that then," Anya said. "I didn't know what to expect of Memorial Day, but I'm glad it makes a good deal of sense, compared to what goes on around here."

"I'm not really up to figuring out the best way to do a barbeque, and Monday's not really a holiday for us, so I figured a little thing up here was probably the best option," Jessica said.

"I actually have helped my dad once or twice with that, but then I guess nobody would like to test my first attempts at cooked meat," Anya said. "It looks pretty awesome. A nice way to see more faces around too."

"Well, it's not just the technical part. I'm sure there are plenty of people who could help us out there," Jessica said. "But where do we do it, and how do we get a grill up there? And where do we get a grill? This is just much, much easier."

"Bueno, just to think about all that makes me glad we're here," Anya commented.

"You and me both," Jessica said. "You're one of the new kids, right? So this is your first Fandom party?"

"Yep, I'm fresh meat. And I guess you're double right! I didn't even know parties were a thing here. I might have to reevaluate what I thought of this place," Anya said.

"That begs the question, what did you think of this place before just now?" Jessica asked.

"Regular school in Hard Mode? My dad thought it was a fancy private school in space or something," Anya said, rolling her eyes. Just because Tony Stark had given him the idea. That didn't even made sense.

"Hi Anya!" Raven greeted with a grin. "Happy Memorial Day, I guess."

"Raven!" God bless she wasn't alone in here. "Happy Memorial Day, I guess, too! I'm so glad I actually know someone here."

Get a life, Anya.

"You do," Raven agreed. "And you might even get to meet some more, tonight."

"That's the idea, right?" Anya said, hope very present in her voice.

"That it is," Raven said brightly. "There's Jessica, she's my big sister. And Cade, who's very charming and I'm pretty sure knows it. I don't really know anyone else, though."

"I think most guys here are charming and well aware," Anya joked, although she was kind of serious, too.

Raven snorted. "Or not really charming at all, and think they're gods."

Loki.

"Really?" Anya asked, all ears.

"Have you met Loki?" Raven asked.

"Norse God of Mischief?" Anya asked, as she was a bit instructed in that sort of stuff.

"That's what he'd have you believe," Raven said. "But he sure looked like a teenager to me."

The Loki Anya knew off was an adult, but then again...God of Mischief. No need to scare Raven though. Or to say more than she needed to.
