Alex was at the gym just as she was almost every day. She'd been thinking about what was discussed in the Coping With Change class yesterday. Punching the bag had become a coping ritual for her, something she constantly relied on now. Today was no different. With every punch, she thought about all the things she'd been through, and how she emerged a stronger person. At least that's what Nikita tells her often.

It was just like one of her favorite symbols: the butterfly. She made a transformation of sorts. The punching bag, in a way, helped her get here.

Maybe that had something to do with it suddenly changing color. The bag changed to a light shade of yellow...like some butterflies.

What the hell? This was taking a metaphor a little too literally.

Alex was baffled at how she made it change, but she also thought it was the coolest thing ever!

Stiles knew he was going to be forced to run at some point this weekend so he decided to counteract that dreaded exercise by shoving as many marshmallows as he possibly could into his face right now. He wasn't at his own campfire because he really wasn't trying to be around Jackson more than he already had to be. Their nightly accidental cuddles was more than enough quality time, thank you.

Since he was Stiles and couldn't be content with just enjoying the scenery, he was multitasking by texting people while he was sticking marshmallows into the fire. Which led to some problems. "Oh, oh shit--"

Another flaming marshmallow sailed across the campfire as Stiles tried to put it out by flinging the stick around. There were several stuck to the tree directly across from him.

Alex was not in the best mood today. She usually had some pent up anger due to things from her past, but she'd been able to hide it well. She actually liked it here, so it was easier not to feel anger all the time.

That was before she turned into a butterfly.

It'd been pretty cool getting to fly around, but then she transformed back into human form and had to basically streak back to her room. That wasn't exactly her finest moment, so she was here today taking it out on a punching bag. Who was she kidding? This was clearly just an excuse to get some of her resentment and anger from her past out, even if she didn't want to admit it.

So there were punches and even some roundhouse kicks to the bag. It helped.

Not everybody had just come home after the strip club last night. Atton figured he could stick around for another round and then see if maybe he could, ahem, talk to somebody.

It had all gotten out of hand from that point on; it would take a fifteen-episode TV series to fully document the series of events that Atton Rand lived through that Wednesday night. The details weren't important anyway - what was important was that Atton now had a lot of jugs of drinks (alcoholic and otherwise) that he couldn't sneak into a fridge (they'd be discovered), he couldn't drink (he'd get alcohol and/or sugar poisoning) and he couldn't sell on or off the island because then the people he'd stolen the drinks from would find him and--

Yeah, you didn't want to know.

So he'd come up with a plan. He'd keep the drinks cool on the booze until he came up with a plan.

After about an hour he figured out why that wouldn't work.

Now he'd dragged about half of it downstairs (before giving up on that), having labeled all the non-alcoholic drinks accordingly (with labels reading 'JUICE' or 'SPARKLY WATER STUFF'. Not non-alcoholic. What, unlike some people, he didn't want detention) and stamped a few post-its reading 'DRINK' on the good stuff.

Then he sent out a couple of texts at random.

It was Fandom. Someone would show up.

The sixth floor common room was all done up for a party. Really all that meant was that there was pizza, chips, and drinks (including some that seemed to be mysteriously unlabeled for anyone who might want to drink something that IS TOTALLY FINE AND YOU CAN'T PROVE OTHERWISE in the dorms). There was also a small American flag over by the TV to indicate that what this weekend was really about wasn't completely forgotten, especially considering Jessica's recent military experiences.

But those experiences were even more reason for her to relax, play some music on the radio, and hope that nobody stabbed anybody this time.

[OOC: This is the party with the I Never game that leads to Not-So-Final Destination Week. If you'd like to participate in that, please at least establish yourself in the game and maybe throw out some prompts!

Everyone in the dorms is invited via fliers from earlier this week.]

In the semester that she'd been here, Gert had learned that there were basically two reasons to be in a common room: to watch a bad movie or to try to pawn bagels off on people. Today, shockingly, was an example of neither.

No, today she had Chinese food to give away (seriously, what was it with the delivery guys in this town and bringing way more food than any one person needed?) and the movie she was watching, about a fish looking for his son, was actually pretty good. Imagine that.

Old Lace seemed personally moved by this movie. She was making whimpery noises at the sad parts and everything.
