Working under the specious logic that if he couldn't remember anything before yesterday that anything dumb he did today might be forgotten soon anyway, Jonathan - no, JOHN Storm set up some chips, a few bottles of pirate rum, and a sign just outside the common room announcing the Let's Make Some Mistakes We Won't Remember Party.

He had to get creative with some of the entertainment, but John was pretty sure this whole thing would work out regardless.

There were some "HELLO My Name Is" nametags and Sharpies by the doorway. You could use whatever name you figured out or make up your own name. It didn't really matter, nobody remembered anyway.

Mara had woken up in a bush wearing trashy lingerie yesterday. Clearly she made bad choices with her life and so this party was just the place for her.

She slapped a "Hello my name is MARA (I think)" on her right boob and looked around the room. Maybe someone would know why she'd been outside yesterday morning...

"Okay, I have to ask," John said, walking up and noting the name tag. Yes, he was looking at the name tag. Not what the name tag was on. "Why do you think your name is Mara?"

After the end of his library shift, Garik made his way up to the common room. A party would have people, and people would have answers.

After carefully printing "GARIK" on a tag (instead of the symbols he kept trying to write), he looked around. Playing it cool, like there wasn't some kind of vaguely incompetent assassin after him and Travis.

"Hey there, welcome to the party," John said. He wasn't sure what the deal with the guy's face was, but hey, it might help the girls think John was even handsomer in comparison, so he was happy to have Garik around. "Grab a drink and have some fun."

Travis felt a little better after finding and talking to Garik. And with their plan in mind, he figured stopping into a place where a lot of people might be was a good idea.

So, he was there wearing a nametag with the name TRAVIS written in sloppy scrawl. He looked around, hoping to recognize someone. Besides Garik, he saw no one he knew.

Gwen didn't really know why she was here except it was kind of freaking her out being alone and not knowing anything. She wrote "GWEN" on her nametag and stuck it on, looking at everyone else's nametags in case something jogged her memory.

The girl who was pretty sure she couldn't fly, at all, no matter how unfair that was, wandered into the party and grabbed a nametag. She deliberated a second before filling it out. Her student ID told her what the name was, but she was still figuring out how you said it.

Finally, she shrugged and wrote: Alana (I don't know if it's uh-LAY-nah or uh-LAH-nah. YOU DECIDE.) This was cramped, but satisfactory.

The one thing no one had thought to point out to Kira when warning her about Fandom's weird stuff was how bad she might feel if she wasn't affected. When she saw the sign, she peeked her head into the common room, and then grabbed a nametag. On top she wrote KIRA and underneath she put (I REMEMBER STUFF. SORRY!).

The girl wandering in had not yet figured out her name. She had found her initials, EL, but that only narrowed the infinite into slightly smaller confines.

She picked up a name tag with a bit of a sigh, and scribbled in sharpie: E--??? Evelyn? Elizabeth? Elaine?

Isaac grabbed a name tag even though he remembered who he was. He figured it'd be useful for people since he had been a hermit all summer.

He grabbed a drink and wondered if there was even a point in mingling right now. Were they going to remember this later on? Who knows!

I Never As Far As I Know But It Kinda Sounds Fun

"Okay, there's a game called I Never where somebody says something they've never done, and then if you HAVE done it, you have to take a drink. Nobody remembers crap, but why let that stop us? I say we change it to if something sounds like something you'd want to do, have a drink."

"Like, I've never had a drink!" John said before taking a drink. "And I've never climbed a mountain!" He took another drink.
