Roof Emo Garden, Thursday Afternoon
Keyleth hadn't made her way up to the dorm roof before today for some reason, and that was a shame since she'd clearly been missing out on the little garden she'd discovered up here, with its fascinating spiky little plants.
After the experience of having an unexpected shark crash into the simulated common room during class today, being around the plants was oddly soothing -- as was the altitude, which made her feel a little more at home. She busied herself with conjuring water to fill a bucket with which to tend to the plants, then carefully examining them and using her druidcraft to coax some of the more slowly growing buds and shoots into a healthier state.
It was a comforting way to spend an afternoon, really.

Oh well. There were worse fates than having some company up here.
"Nice day to... sit on a roof, apparently?"

It was a very empty sky. There was maybe a seagull out there? Good job on making Norman not look completely bananas, seagull.

"Yeah, I might," he replied. "Or sometimes the teal deer kind of wander near the edges of the preserve. Those are pretty neat."

Which may be evidenced by the fact that she had one on her armor these days.

Since deer weren't generally that color otherwise.
"I've known a few people who can really draw them out," he added. "I've seen one or two mostly by the graveyard." He paused. "You know. When... there are people by the graveyard. Great place for just kind of chatting."
If you happened to reside there.
But not live there, per se.

"The deer? Or the deer in the graveyard specifically?"
Because one was awesome, and the other was evocative in its own way, though those deer were generally ghosts themselves.

"I mean," he mused, "if you want somebody to just stand around reading out loud from a book or something so you can draw the deer, I can do that. I spend a lot of time in the graveyard anyway."

After Dee's first class, monologues were still kind of fresh on Norman's mind, yes.

A pause.
"Actually, the one teaching here now is, too. I'm beginning to worry about the future of the entertainment industry in general, and I like cheesy movies."

But that wasn't really his thing.

Yes. The answer was yes.

She was just on to you.

"I'm not as bad as I used to be, anyway," he offered. "But... yeah. Comics are easier than people."
