Sixth floor common room- Sunday evening

The way Alexis was thinking, they'd have a raging party tonight, wake up tomorrow with mild hangovers, and then spend the rest of the day at the beach, because wasn't that what Memorial Day was all about?

She did not know she was expected to be in class tomorrow.

The lights were lower, there was a dance floor, the music was actually probably a little loud, and there were tables set up with all sorts of beverages. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge. She also was maybe iffy on exactly what Memorial Day was commemorating, because aside from the distinct red, white and blue theme, it was very much a celebration of something or other.

Astrid had clearly just twisted Alexis' arm about this whole thing, so it would be sort of a jerk move to not even show up. If this was Fairview, that's probably exactly what would happen, but she actually did like Fandom parties...and Fandom people. So she was there, looking around like she was planning to critically access the job Alexis did, although, really, she could have just shown up and said the word 'party' and that would suffice.

"Astrid! You made it!" Alexis greeted her happily. "I think I did a pretty good job for a day's work, don't you think?"

She didn't mean to party-bait Alexis, honestly, but, at the same time, she also didnt think Alexis would mind, either.

Freya had seen the posters about this Memorial Day party and showed up expecting something far more somber based on the name. Perhaps ot was in memorial of a happy event? Either way, she supposed she would 't find out unless she showed up, and she supposed it might not hurt to socialize with her peers more, considering it.was looking as though she would not be making headway on locating her dear Sir Fratley any time soon.

Her eyes, she had to ad.it, did keep drifting curiously to the ba pit, though.

She'd thought about it, a few time, and would have tried harder if she wasn't finding some of the classes useful or interesting....and if the people at Portalocity hadn't seemed wholly confused and kept sending her off to a different planet called Gaia...

Julius who has kind of failed to be around this week because THIS WEEK had seen the fliers around and figured that...maybe? A party in the dorms might be a lot more fun than any of the parties he'd been to before?

He ducked in, wearing his one nice shirt and looked around like he wasn't quite sure what to do next.

This wasn't really illicit, but okay.

Juillenne had no idea what ‘Memorial Day’ was supposed to commemorate, though the name didn’t make it sound like the sort of thing that involved parties...

Then again, she came from a world that held a party in order to kick off a year of three teenage girls trying their best to murder each other, so who was she to judge?

Xelayans weren’t to big on parties that weren’t academic functions so Alara didn’t have much experience with parties in general.

So she was curious about what a Memorial Day party looked like when she’d heard about so she thought she’d stop by to check it out.

The snacks are moddable, and so are the drinks. Are there maybe little bottles of alcohol that just so happened to show up placed in a bowl so people can mix their own drinks and Alexis can't get into trouble? Naturally.
