The Pool; Monday [04/24].

In case you hadn't heard, either via the flyers that had been plastered around the dorms, the text messages sent out that morning, the radio or the announcements being made from the desk yesterday, there was a party in the dorms that day! Down by the pool, specifically! With no classes to attend to, all that was left to do was come on down and have a good time!

There were decorations! There was pizza! There were drinks in coconuts, and some music pumping, and none of them had anywhere school-related they needed to be! Time to celebrate another successful semester in the books.

Water you waiting for? Come make a splash!

Come show off all your cute swimwear (or just show up in jeans! That's valid, too!), stake a claim on some of the pool chairs, and chat it up before taking a plunge!

What's a pool party without a pool? Dive in, sit by the edge and just dip your toes in, start up a rousing game of Chicken or Marco Polo, or, if you were Graham, just try really had not to drown!

As promised, there was pizza (both with pineapple and without), and drinks (some even with a little something extra, wink wink) in coconuts! But there's also plenty of moddable other foods and beverages beyond those specifics, and, of course, people bringing their own contributions are also welcome!

Sure, there's plenty of swimming to be had, but it can't all be swimming! If you want to take a break from the pool and get something else going, here's the place to do it! It's not a party without Games and Other Activities, right??

Even though her swimsuit was incredibly modest and she'd worn it plenty of times before, in the summer and on the school trips (especially that last one!), Libby still felt a little uncertain about it. She was a little more confident in her swimming now, though, so maybe she'd just spent most of the time in the water so it was a little less obvious. But she didn't want to miss a party if there was one, and it sounded like it was going to be a fun way to spend the day.

Well, obviously it would be, if Charlie and Graham were involved!

"Libby!" Graham beamed to see her, waving from across the pool before (perhaps a bit foolishing) jogging around it to come over and say hi. "You made it! Awesome! Welcome to the pool party!"

Yeah, Libby definitely did have to squash down a bit of her natural Big Sister Mode from coming out to reprimand Graham for running around the pool area, but it wouldn't do to start being a wet blanket before she'd even gotten in the pool! So she just gave him an indulgent sort of smile and laughed a little. "I wouldn't have wanted to miss it," she said, "and it would be kind of sad, wouldn't it, staying up in my room, reading or something, while this was going on down here? It looks great, though," she added, as her eyes roamed around and took in the party store Tropical Beach Party aesthetic they'd been going for. "You guys really went all out, huh?"

Sakaki didn't show up until much later, since she was busy at the animal shelter for most of the day, and she only realized once she got there that swimming when you were covered in bandages from all sorts of new bites and scratches was probably not the greatest idea. So she was definitely very likely to spend most of her time lounging on one of the chair with one of those coconut drinks, mostly just people watching, because she had the icons, although she was wishing she'd gone with a different swimsuit.

Guillermo was definitely there, it felt a little weird to be at a pool party ... he was pretty sure he had never been invited to one before and he was wearing swimming trunks, which he was feeling a little self conscious in but he was looking forward to the party.

"Hi," he smiled shyly as he arrived.

Jo was wearing a pale pink dress and she wasn't wearing her swimmers but she did want to come to the party all the same - she was pretty sure at least here that no one would be attempting to push her in the pool.

"Hello," she smiled as she arrived.

"Sakaki! Hey!" Graham waved and smiled; he didn't know her too well, really, but it was still good to see her. "Glad you made it!"

Then, as he clocked all those bandages:

"Rough day at the shelter?" he guesses.

Maybe Graham's own confidence in his skinny, almost glowingly pale self in swim trunks would help? Any self-consciousness on Graham's part eight now came entirely from just missing the weight and swish of his cloak around him.

"Hey, Guillermo! Thanks for coming!"

Graham might push her into the pool, but if he did, it would be entirely by accident.

"Jo! Hi! You made it! Welcome to the party!"

It would definitely help, Guillermo needed all the confidence he could get.

He shifted slightly, smiling warmly, "thank you for having this party, it looks incredible," he paused, "you know I don't think I've ever been to a pool party before," he admitted.

Jo wouldn't mind that so much, except of course if she ended up in the deep end again ... then there might be a bit of trouble.

"Thank you," she smiled, "this all looks so good, thank you for having this party," she told him.

"I don't think I ever have, either!" Graham admitted with a laugh. "So I guess it's a first for both of us! There aren't a whole lot of pools like this where I'm from, though, so I guess that's kind of an excuse! But, hey! At least now I don't have to worry about getting it wrong, if you don't know anything about how they're supposed to be, either!"

"Charlie and I figured we could use a good party," Graham said with a confident nod, "to celebrate the end of the semester! We might have two parties, actually, but this is just the first one! Figured since we don't have any classes, we might as well have fun, right?"

Kurt was definitely here, and fully ready for the epic swim party to celebrate a successful semester. He showed up sporting a new set of swimtrunks and his beach towel as well.

"Hey Graham!" he said with a big grin as he gave a wave.

"Hey, Kurt!" Graham met that big grin and a wave in kind, with a little bit of a laugh, since the energy of a big party like this was hard to not get caught up in. "Good to see you! How's it going? Ready to enjoy an awesome party to kick off a nice couple weeks of no classes?"

Graham, it should be noted, actually loved having classes, but he was trying to give having none to go to for a little bit a silver lining.

"I didn't get invited to many parties back home," Guillermo admitted, "well actually, I didn't get invited to any so this is all kind of new to me but it all looks incredible, I'm ... I'm looking forward to the party," he added shyly.

Jo smiled, "that does sound rather nice, even though I'm quite enjoying my classes here but it's nice to have the break from them," she added, "and a party does sound like a fun way to celebrate the end of semester,"

"Oh, definitely looking forward to a little break! And a pool party is a great idea, Graham! Thanks for putting this on" Kurt said with a grin as he looked around for a minute to see who all had shown up so far.

It was a pool party and Kurt was here to have fun. So, of course he was going to jump right in, doing a rather impressive cannon ball splashdown as he did.

Charlie was here in a bright people bikini. Not too tiny, but tiny enough to show her off to good advantage.

She made sure the drinks were all set out, that the pizza boxes were open and ready to go, and prepared to have a good time!
