She is kind of covered in blood and zombie goo, and mostly looks relieved the whole thing is over.

Angela blushes, more. "I was scared, like, out of my mind," she says.

Angela laughs. "And you get one for Best Flattery by a high school student."

She sips at her drink and waves a hand. "So. To, um, completely change the subject?"

"Okay." she laughs a little at the weirdness of this transition, but hey, you can't talk zombies all night. "Do you have any personal feelings about the John Hughes canon?"

Marty cocks an eyebrow at her.

"I've seen Breakfast Club and Ferris Bueller a couple dozen times, but I haven't made a commitment to them yet."

Angela grins. "Actually, I get to be Molly Ringwald. Rory would be what's her name, the freaky girl, though she says it has to be post-makeover. Logan would be Emilio Estevez. And, um, you could be Bender."

She looks at him. "Comb your hair out and dress all grungy, and ... your ear isn't pierced, is it?"

Beats my idea of having both me and Rob Gordon show up as Lloyd Dobler which opens up a strange portal where newspaper boys invade the gym screaming TWO DOLLARS

"As long as I'm not dressing up like Molly Ringwald or Ally Sheedy, I'm okay with it. Plus Judd Nelson was a total badass in the movie. I still think Rory should go grunge though."

Then, "I like the whole racoon-eyes, all-in-black look better myself. But I'm not sure it's, like, Rory, so..."

Angela isn't sure how to take the big blue ... bug, but a compliment is a compliment. "Thanks. I don't actually know much first aid, but luckily most people weren't hurt that bad by the time I got there. And I heard that you had an excellent battle cry."

Roy sees two familiar faces and makes his way over to them, holding a plate laden with beer, chips, celery and carrots. He's currently munching on a celery stick.

"Hey, you guys are okay. Great. I was in the library, where were you?"

Angela is still giggling a little as she waves to Roy.

"I was, like, everywhere," she says. "Last night I was at work in town, then at Mt. Phale's bookstore, then at the police station, then at the church. Then today I was running support on one of the battle fronts."

"What was it like in the library?"

Roy frowns, and looks down at himself. His clothes look ashy and dirty, he smells like an old campfire, and there's demon guts all over his pants and shoes.

"There was a rush of zombies, then we were barricaded for a while, then there was a whole ARMY of zombies and we had to retreat all the way back into Special Collections. We didn't lose anyone though, just wounded. Then we all had to sit on desks and try not to get touched by the boiling hot water. ...It was gross. Tiring. Eventful." He looks at her and gives a grin. "But hey, I'm alive. And I got a date for Homecoming!"

Angela gives Roy a thumbs-up. "That's about what I got out of it too. Gross, tiring, scary ... and the date.

Who are you going with?"

"Chiana, miss_monochrome. We met after the battle was ending, when she was with the medical group and I was helping people stand on desks. I assume you're going with Marty?"

Angela glances across the room, where Marty is deep in conversation with the AV tech. She smiles a little. "Yeah. We have a really cool costume idea and everything."

She indicates her zombie-goo-ified-outfit. "I'm going to go take a shower and try to sleep, but it was good to see you again."
