Nighttime, outside the dorms
A trip into town had resulted in Sean getting everything a puppy could need to be happy, and many many things that he didn't need per se, but which were too damned cute to resist.
There had also been Christmas presents for the pooch, but those were safely hidden in the back of Angel's closetsince lord knows he isn't hiding there where Sean couldn't find them.
Sean himself was currently sporting a red and green collar with, appropriately enough, a dog tag. On the tag it said "My name is SEAN. My dad's name is ANGEL."
Sean's new possessions were back in the room. In the meanwhile Angel could tell the signs of a puppy who wasn't yet ready to settle in for the night.
So they were outside, playing with a new ball, snow, and generally having more fun than you ever thought a broody vampire could have.
Behold the power of puppy.

"Hey, Angel! Hi Sean!"
Vladdie stuck his head out from inside the bag and barked happily.

Sean, hearing the bark, stopped his attempt to eat snow. He looked around, his legs spread wide, ready to dart in the direction of a possible new playmate.

She pulled Vladdie from the bag and gently set him on the ground. The puppy tilted his head curiously at the other dog, and cautiously approached him.

Sean, seeing the other dog, came bounding up. He yipped, then leapt away, bowing down on his two front legs while wagging his tail into a blur.

Vladdie tilted his head in the other direction and, never being one to not show off his cool tricks, bounced up to hover about a foot in the air.
no subject
Sean found Vladdie's cool trick to be amazing. His tail wagged even harder. He jumped, trying to see if he would stick in the air like Vladdie did.
no subject
Vladdie thought Sean was very silly. So he decided to show off more, and did a midair somersault.
no subject
Sean yipped. He crouched down on the ground and jumped. He did it again. For some reason he couldn't do the mid-air somersault.
Then he tried it one last time. As he leapt Angel, who'd been watching, grinned and vamp-speeded a catch and assist, flipping Sean over and putting him back down before he could land on his own.
Angel looked at Rory innocently. Sean, for his part, was thrilled and convinced he'd just learned a new trick.

Normally that would be Angel's cue to turn right back, but this time he didn't.
Maybe it was the relaxation of having gotten a good chunk of his grades. Maybe it was because Logan hadn't killed him for what happened during the love spell. Maybe it was a touch of the Christmas spirit.
Or maybe puppies make you do the wacky.
Angel made a snowball. He held it up for Sean to see, silently encouraging the puppy to be very excited about this development. Once Sean was wagging and bouncing with glee, Angel threw the snowball in Logan's direction.
It landed, as Angel had aimed, just past Logan's feet.
Which meant that there was a black furry ball of pure glee making a beeline for Logan's sneakers.

Clearly this had to be remidied. Sean got up on his hind legs and attempted to lick every inch of Logan's face.
In the distance, just outside of Logan's field of vision, Angel watched this. It would've been stretching things to say that he had a facial expression, but his face had an aura that suggested he might be not displeased.

Figuring that Logan wouldn't appreciate the potential creepiness of Angel watching silently for too long, he spoke up. "His name's Sean."

"Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto!"
Angel.
"Hunka hunka burning love!"
*grins wryly at Angel* If I ever get back to Hong Kong, I'm havin' a word with that bird seller. What's up?

"Swerval!" *Fish looks straight at Angel.* "Who's a pretty boy?"
Yeah, he's mine. This is Fish. I thought he was gettin' bored locked up in my dorm room.

I saw him in the library today. He's definitely a cutie. As long as he doesn't try to eat Fish, we're cream swerval.
