Sophomore Class Stu-Co Meeting 4th Floor CR: Saturday Evening

Lana and Lilly have gone to some trouble to straighten up the common room and get it ready for the meeting. Hopefully they'll get a decent turn-out and be able to get some stuff figured out for the school elections. A couple of Lilly's posters are hung up on either side of the door so everyone will know this is the right place.

Lana and Lilly are both there early just in case. Lana's a little on the nervous side, but Lilly's calm and composed.

There is pizza and soda set out on a table, along with a bowl of M&M's, a few bowls with chips, and some brownies.


Come on in, mix and mingle with the other sophomores, and help us decide who wants to run for Student Council.

Allie comes down to the common room at Lilly's assistance. She grabs a soda and sits next to her roommate.

"Hi, Lana," Allie says, smiling back.

"How were your holidays?"

"Good, pretty quiet, except for getting thrown by my horse. Got a lovely concussion, but at least the bruises are starting to fade! How was yours?"

"Ouch! I guess you didn't break any bones or anything though, so that's good," Allie says sympathetically.

She shrugs. "Not bad. It was nice to be away from the insanity of this place." After a pause, she adds, "Logan and I broke up though. He's not coming back to school."

"Oh no, really? I'm so sorry." Lana hesitates, "If you ever want to talk about it or anything, I'm more than happy to listen."

"Thanks," Allie says sincerely, "But I'm really okay with it. I'm only 16 and we were getting too serious."

"Makes sense," Lana said. "But hey, offer still stands for... whatever. We should get together and hang out sometime anyway."

"Definitely! Lilly and I just moved into the dorms. We're in 422/424."

"That's great. I'm up in the West Attic, but," she glances over fondly at the sleeping Shep, "I'm down here or in 402 a lot."

Allie follows her gaze and gives her a quizzical look.

"Who's that?" she asks. If she remembers correctly, the last time she actually talked to Lana, she was dating a teacher.

"Shep - John Sheppard. He's really a great guy." Lana flushes a little.

"Oh yeah?" Allie teases her gently. "He's someone special, I take it?"

Lana blushes a little more. "Very much so. He's... Well, he's one of the best guys I've met. Funny how a near tragedy can bring two people together, isn't it?"

Allie gives her a skeptical look.

"I don't think so. You should though. You'd be awesome at that."

"I'm totally going to, I think. I mean, for doing stuff like Homecoming it makes sense, because then I'd have built in people to do my dirty work. I want to do like a Spring Carnival or something. And hey, if not, I'll do it anyway and I'll draft people in other ways," Lilly says with a wink.

Allie chuckles. "Well, you know I'm willing to help behind the scenes," she says. "But I don't think I'd want a leadership position."

"That's cool, though. It's nice to have people who are willing to help out when they have time. Me left alone with an endless supple of streamers? Can't end well."

"And I'll help you out too, with whatever you get yourself into. I got a B in Bio - I'm practically a Nobel Prize winner. I can help you get into med school, no problem."
