Second floor common room, Sunday morning

Aeryn doesn't like doing things that might embarrass herself. However, it's also Sunday morning and she knows what time it is. Some things are just more Important.

So she wakes up early, makes her way into the second floor common room, careful of anyone who may be camped out there, and turns on the TV.

She might sing along with the "Smile Time" theme song. She's definitely swaying back and forth with the music. For she is five.

"Because I've been innoculated and anytime I do start to get sick they can make it go away right away." she explains.

"Ohhh. That's good," Elizabeth nodded. "What about if you hurt yourself? If you had a concussion? Can they make that feel better?" She paused and looked thoughtful. "Who are they?"

"Peacekeepers," she says. "They can do almost anything. We have technology."

"I've heard of them," Elizabeth said happily, completely not realizing that Aeryn wasn't talking about UN peacekeepers. "They travel a lot. Is that why they have technology?"

"Maybe. I don't know much about the technology yet. That's tech work."

"Lots of time to learn," Elizabeth nods seriously.

"But I'm going to be a soldier. I don't have to know tech stuff," she points out.

"What sort of soldier? My daddy used to fly planes off ships and went to war before I was born. But he got injured and had to leave and now he stays at home with us all of the time."

"I want to fly Prowlers," she says. "But I can be a commando, too."

"What's a Prowler?" Elizabeth asks. "My daddy flew Phantoms."

"It's a ship. What's a Phantom?"

"It's an F-4 fighter plane," Elizabeth says, screwing up her face in concentration.

"I want to see," she says.

"I don't have a picture," Elizabeth says, chewing her lip thoughtfully. "There might be some in a book in the library?"
